We can’t predict any of this stuff and quite frankly I have given up watching other teams and hoping because it never happens for me😂…..
But……huge plusses here are….Villa just stuffed Burnley not long ago, it’s their final home game and will want to put on a show for the fans.
Newcastle looked good v Arsenal and will have impetus going into the Sunday game.
Palace are a decent team and will give Everton a good go - Arsenal will be keen to stuff them on Sunday to give themselves at least a chance of Champs League.
We could very well be already safe - that being said…I think we can go and win at Brentford.
The bottom line is that whatever the results are tomorrow, we go into the last game with a chance to stay up.
I think Gerrard, Viera, Howe and Franks all have integrity and will play to win.
I would like to see the PL arrange the second half of the season based on league position after 19 games…our run in would be something like Norwich, Newcastle, Watford and Burnley…City v Liverpool at the top end. Just a thought!
Perfect way to sign off on Sunday would be a Pontus own goal and Paddy coming off the bench once more to score against Brentford, this time getting the goal to keep us up.
Truly, no matter which way we dress this up, none of us are looking beyond Thursday evening before the emotional build up about what is actually going to be required on Sunday, sets in.
That equaliser on Sunday was huge, I think that point will prove crucial.
Beat Brentford and I don’t think the other results will conspire against you.
A Burnley defeat is crucial. If we go into Sunday's game behind Burnley, our chance of escape is minimal.
Nothing wrong with you A14 - it's called care and concern for an institution ( family ?) that is an integral part of all LUFC fan's lives.
We've seen our great club almost on a life support machine not too long ago and non of us ever want to go anywhere near that again. (Admitted the potential drop would be much more financially managable this time around).
Should be a Villa win.
Should be…
Should…..worst word in sport.
I think a point at Brentford could do it. I can see Burnley drawing tomorrow but then getting beaten on the final day, Newcastle showed Monday that they haven’t downed tools yet.
Everton not winning on Thursday would make it a chaotic final day
Burnley really have thier work cut out, 2 very tough games. They can absolutley get a result, but if they lose to Villa, I'll back us to stay up, if they get anything from it, I think it'll be curtains for us.
It's a mugs game to predict the outcome of games like these, with so much riding on them. Irrespective of the impact of the footballing gods, that renders deflections and sendings off etc.
Having said that
Burnley are playing reasonably well... they lost at home to villa 3-0 but it definitley wasn't a 3-0 game. Villa are not playing great at the moment. Slight edge to villa.
Palace are a better side than everton but everton have a good home record. Everton running out of centrebacks might make them vulnerable. Pickem.
I'll give you my equally fence sitting prediction for Sunday's games later!
I’m fine with looking like a mug, I will predict:
Everton 1-1 Palace
Villa 0-0 Burnley
Sunday
Brentford 0-1 Leeds
Arsenal 3-0 Everton
Burnley 1-1Newcastle
Everton going down on goal difference. They really are in bother if they do t win tomorrow night - it’s the biggest game the club have had in quarter of a century
Everton 1-1 Palace
Villa 2-1 Burnley
Arsenal 2-1 Everton
Burnley 1-1 Newcastle
I really don't know about us v Brentford

strike team, this isn't like you. Arsenal 3-0?
Strike its going to be chaotic on Sunday whatever happens who thought it was a good idea to have Leeds, Everton and Man Utd in town at the same time last day,
Cons for rivals:
Playing Thur and Sun, there opponents don't
Everton have Leedsitus and have loads of players out
Villa and Arsenal away are superior opposition on paper
Cons for us:
We aint very good
Lots of players out
Brentford are better than us 🙄
We usually feck up on the big day
Everton 1-1 Palace
Aston Villa 2-0 Burnley
Sunday
Brentford 1-2. Leeds
Arsenal 2-0 Everton
Burnley 2-1 Newcastle
Again, until tomorrow night, we are just playing fantasy football about what we think might happen.
Who’d have thought 5 years we’d be so fearful of playing Brentford on the last day of the season?
Dream Sunday for the neutral.
...nightmare Sunday for the rest!
I've read Burnley have players out. I've read Everton have players out.
I'll believe it when line ups are announced.
Well we know that Everton, like us, have two squad members suspended Branthwaite and Rondon and Calvert-Lewin looked doubtful after pulling up on Sunday.
I think both Burnley and Everton $ hit the bed tomorrow and lose.
