Most people my age will have their retirement fund paid for by way of their parents dying and leaving their homes to them (that they bought fckin cheap).

So everyone is going to live in the town they were born in for their whole lives. Go to Uni, get a well paid job but return home to live with your parents and only be able to look for work in said career in their home town. It's not viable for a lot of people.

I agree. But its a likely outcome for a lot of people unless things change.

The rental market needs to be more tightly regulated, at the moment it's the worst of both worlds

It’s a bit pathetic this is even being mooted as a sensible option.

If you’re born into a working class family you’re automatically destined to live with your parents well into adult life. If you’re born in the west wing of a national trust property you have a choice of homes.

If the conservatives get in, in the next general election the country is beyond fecked. Never has their been a less competent government with less answers to questions than these idiots.

Does the opposition have any answers? Inflation on this scale seems to be fairly global. Just looked up the EU figures and they are 8.5%

Definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

This government is the worst in living memory. The opposition cannot be worse.

The only essentials that you actually NEED are accomodation, food and beer. Jackets are cheap, can wear them indoors. Much more difficult to make your own beer so higher priority than heating.

They will get in as England in particular is a conservative nation. Labour became Tory lite to get in under Blair.

Doesn't look like it based on current polls and last council elections.

Lowest unemployment, but no one actually at work, or no one wants to work. We have turned into work shy country who would rather sit at home with our hand out.

Just when I was confident that no one could post more tripe than Silver we’re presented with this garbage.

I’ve worked in a number of countries with a similar or better economy than the UK and I’ve never had to work as hard or as long as I do here.

The similarities with the present and post WW1 is quite scary.

All its going to take is one leader to snap and we got another world war.

Can we burn poor and unemployed people to heat the homes of real people? Most unemployed people are overweight so would have loads of fat to burn. The carbon would be offset by the decrease in population and subsequent reduction in chinese takeaway delivery trips.

Those unemployment figures they released classify anyone working at least one hour a week as fully employed

Ridiculous analogy.

We are literally talking about a government that had to be bullied into feeding kids in poverty by a footballer and that has idiots that beleivee no one can cook from scratch, despite the fact with sky high food prices it really doesnt make that much difference how much or what you eat.

These people are not only bad people, they are thick as pigchit and incapable of competently running a country, these idiots shouldn't be trusted running a bath.

Laziness actually creates jobs. It is called the gig economy. Fat, lazy people essentially pay less lazy people to deliver things for them (often indirectly so they see it as free to them). Pretty much everything everyone needs can be delivered to them, creating jobs and huge amounts of fat on the bellies of the consumers.

I have noticed the rise in delivery addiction though, where people need to be waiting on a delivery of something to feel happy. So when something arrives, they need to buy something else. Sad times.

He says the UK has record low unemployment."
