Agreed.

It sounds simple, but this is only Levy. Though I hope he has changed....Since he has recruited Conte for that return to CL, and now that Conte has delivered, Levy must follow this with serious investment in the squad, which is paper thin, in comparison to City or Liverpool or Chelsea.

We must spend big and spend well. As per Conte's shopping list of players, not the Levy list.

posted on 23/5/22

Levy will look at a 4th place finish and think we don't need that many new players, he only wants to finish top 4, so will only invest at a level to try and maintain that. He should be investing at a level to try and win the league, but we all know that's not happening.

Son played 250 more PL minutes than Salah.

Actually £400m in four seasons.

Front three do look good though.

Yeah spurs looking more settled under conte, possibly 2 quality players should I reckon see them compete next season

posted on 23/5/22

Would like to think that Kulusevski could get in to double figures for goals next season .

In terms of assists, he managed as many as KDB and only made 18 appearances.

Big decision for Kane, isn’t it?

Although possibly taken out of his hands with the lack of suitors.

But might he still be thinking about a move? It’s surely a possibility.

Ten Hag with United doesn't seem an exciting proposition and City have someone coming in - we all know who that is.

Newcastle is the only English alternative and I doubt it. They are not in CL and don't have a top top manager like Conte.
No, Kane is staying.

I agree about United, City and Newcastle.

But clubs like Real, Barca, maybe even Liverpool and Bayern?

Appreciate it’s unlikely but I’d love to know what Kane is thinking.

Can't see any of them paying kanes asking price. He is gonna have to honour his contract unless the clause he refers to is actually in a contract. Fact he is still at spurs tells me it wasn't.

Lots of the teams u mention play at a speed that doesn't suit kane. Spurs will always be his best fit as the others won't shape the team around him. Maybe city would have but that ships sailed.

No sympathy for Kane if he wins no trophies tbh. Why his agent let him sign a 6 yr deal with no release or conditions is crazy. Bet levy is still laughing. Sign a 6 yr deal, you honour it, at least til the club says so.

You are probably right.

But there were obviously discussions last season and I wonder if some sort of agreement has been made with Levy.

I don’t fully agree about the pace thing… I think Kane could fit into any team in the world.

Liverpool will be looking at Haaland, and also probably thinking Firmino has peaked, and I just wonder if they will fancy it.

Could be an interesting summer.

Although thiago was an exception I don't think they would pay a sum that large for a player of Kanes age. It's strange cos I'm sure he would excel there I'm some capacity in the Firmino role. Fact is he would cost 100 mill+ though and, even if salah left, I'm sure they'd rather reinvest that in two/three younger players.

If Liverpool signed kane and he stayed fitter than Haaland I actually think he'd give them that tiny edge over city.

Kanes value to spurs is higher than his market value. That's why I don't see him leaving.

You're making assumptions that Spurs won't win anything, as personally Kane has won almost everything he could win.

Same as lots of people assumed spurs will never be in CL final...Well, spurs did!

Spurs have same number of finals reached as City in the CL with same success levels

Every chance Spurs will achieve something in trophy terms under Conte, who is 6 months took the club from 8th to 4th!

Kane will stay and win trophies with Spurs. The winning mentality is finally with the players by the look of it. The way they navigated through the end of the season after being four points adrift with just three matches to play shows the difference in mentality under Conte.

To be fair Morespurs, that was most of the board. Although a lot of those moaning minnies seem to have mysteriously vanished. No doubt the first defeat next season they will all flood back.

The difference between beating Arsenal, West ham and united to a CL spot and winning PLs is a huuuge gulf.
Liverpool lost twice last season and didn't win it.
The gap between top 4 and competing is so big. Took klopp years to have a squad to compete in several comps at once. Will take conte some time too to assemble a big squad filled with quality.

Spurs could win a cup if they put out theit best 11 every game but league titles and CL they are way off that tbh.
It's unreasonable to expect Conte challenging next year just off of CL qualification. City have a 100 million player on the bench 😂

City played Liverpool and lost with their 'reserves' which was still worth more than spurs, liverpools and most PL teams, starting 11, it's kinda bonkers tbh.
