If you allow £150 per rad thats about £1500 materials.

So £3k labour for what is probably 3 days work at most!

A grand a day!

The missus has gone for about 5 expensive rads downstairs.
Labour costs comes in at £1300. £750 VAT.

I am no plumber either, but this is quite straight forward. I assume the radiators are all standard size and the same size to what you have. So is it not a case of one on one replacement without doing to much plumbing?

The plumbers around here are £160 to £300 a day where I am. The one who did our bathroom charged £160 a day.

Not quite. About half the rads are different sizes to what is already installed, and pipes need a little rerouting.
