World class player & absolute bargain we got him for.
Son is a Legend. As he continues to improve his hold up play under Conte his game will develop even more.
He is a legend and not just because of his stats, but because he is such a committed and loyal guy, who gives everything, every time, and is liked by everyone.
World Class player and this 'blows hot and cold' thing is hugely exaggerated for some reason
Off top of my head the best "recent" signings were:
Son
Dembele
Alderwiereld

He’s outstanding but it’s not a myth. When Son has bad games, he has an extremely bad game. There’s room for a little bit of criticism. I love Son though and he’s brilliant, but he can be hit and miss at times.
I think Son and his agents isnt actively seeking to move.
The fact that he is happy at the club is the reason we dont see the links in the papers. Im sure there has been interest from clubs but its not being entertained by Sonny.

Agreed....But i think we lean on him a lot. He's a hard working explosive player and sometimes these sorts need a bit of R&R to recharge and stay fresh.
For me, that is why a quality 4th attacker is an essential this summer. While Son & Kane are the leagues best striking pair in over 30 years, we cannot be complacent.

Hence why for me he is not world class but number wise you can't argue. In the last two seasons prior to the season just gone, he managed double digits in goals and assists. He managed 7 assists and 23 goals last season. 30 goal contributions. The most he has ever produced! Kane deserves alot of credit for Son's numbers.
World class to me means you do it week in week out. Even if you do not manage to score you still contribute.
Like you say he does goes missing but the way he has brought in to Conte demands and positions himself defensively is a credit to Son. He does work hard for the team no doubt about it.
Wasn’t he a last minute signing because we missed out on some forward at West Brom?
Forgive me if my memory is muddled!
Either way he is an absolute legend and I love him.
Signing a new contract when Kane lied about not turning up to training. Don’t forget that people

I think Kane has plenty of credit in the bank to be forgiven. I heard from someone who knows his Woolwich supporting uncle he was devastated the City move did not go through. They had to pick him up.
But now he’s happy under Conte and will stay. Utd are defo interested but CL football means he stays.
Also on a sidenote, his uncle owns a box at the library and everytime Kane scores there, he runs or waves to his box lol.

We are delighted to announce that Dane Scarlett has signed a new contract with the Club that will run until 2026.
Congratulations on the new deal, Dane! 👊
Signing klinsmann back to save us from relegation was the best signing of the prem league era. Imagine a prem season with no spurs !

Greatest impact and greatest aren't the same thing.
Son is definitely up there but I find it difficult to rank in order Vertonghen, Alderwierald, Son, Bale, and Moussa, Modric, and Berbatov as the best signings of the ENIC era. All have been fantastic.

For me it's longevity. He's been with us longest of those lot so his cumulative effect for the club..on and off pitch makes him the best signing for me. Hopefully there will be more signings to come.
Lloris is up there also.
