Son is definitely up there but I find it difficult to rank in order Vertonghen, Alderwierald, Son, Bale, and Moussa, Modric, and Berbatov as the best signings of the ENIC era. All have been fantastic.

Eriksen
No way is he the best imo. Vdv was unreal. Bale was another level. The two cbs were the foundation for spurs progress. Dembele was incredible and massively over looked by Pl fans, although his injuries did make his appearances dwindle towards the end. Immense though.
Son is decent and deserves joint top goalscorer this year but he is 29, and this season is an exception rather than his usual level, and that's important. Being able to consistently hit top numbers is incredibly difficult. He is a player most teams would want but I can think.of lots of ENIC signings I rate higher

The irony of your comment 😂
Bale was obviously the best. He won 2 PFA POTY awards and then was sold for a huge profit.
We really have been graced with some absolutely fantastic players over the years.
--------
main problem was that in any side apart from that poch team, it was either a really good attack, really good midfield, or a good defence... never everything.
actually, it was always a good attack, and never a good defence.
modric bale and vbv going forward with alan hutton at the back.
sheringham and anderton firepower with dean austin at the back
etc

'Son is decent' is a ridiculous understatement
Plus Son does consistently hit high goal numbers. 20+ all comps every season
Your argument seems to be that unless he gets PL top goal scorer type numbers, he cannot be put in the same sentence as other ENIC signings. As though his competition in that regard were at that level. VDV certainly wasn't
Son will become only our 2nd player to hit 100 PL goals. He blows the likes of Toby, Jan, VDV, Dembele etc out of the water
