meh i don't think its that big a deal.

you had a couple of games more than the previous years in the competition, can't say i think its a game changer in finances.

like i said, you're daft as f... with money and based on the earlier tweet i'd imagine you will prob buy a wax figure of the queen with a solid gold crown to keep in the dugout

since last year we have spent 10m on players , brought in 14m in players, and won a league, scottish cup and europa final during that time.

wish we knew how to spend money wisely. wish the club could figure out ways of putting out teams in europe with more than 10x our budget. If we can learn to do any of the above we night be moving in the right directions.

Im with the tims.....no chance we can do that were too daft with the money

I dont think Sands has been awful. I just dont think he has contributed enough in a positive sense.

He might come good next season - he is young and might still just be settling in.

He just hasnt shown much personality or made much of an impression for me. Neat and tidy not much more. Definitely likes a backwards pass though....

FWIW-they’ve clearly made more than they have in previous years. That’ll have helped plug the funding gap and every chance they’ll turn a profit this year.

Expect the wage bill to have increased again this year, so running costs will be a fair bit higher. I also don’t think the turnover will look as good as some might think, but still a much better position than before.

Sands passes forward plenty. Sure he had a great long ball in the Europa final that lead to Kent’s chance, and sure he was doing Ronaldinho tricks against Hearts on the final day.

Sands hopefully impresses next season. I'm not expecting a great deal but you never know what a pre season can do for him

I'm not sure on the timing of this article.

The comments referred to normally start around the end of the FY at the end of June.

It drags on for a while because it takes them until October/November to produce a relatively straightforward set of accounts and get them approved by an auditor.

I expect that they will publish this year's accounts much earlier than usual as they'll be keen to show that they aren't losing a fortune on trading. I'd guess maybe August.

The balance sheet will be a mess though with massive right downs on players. Although there's something peculiar about the way rangers value them that I can't quite remember.

It will certainly be interesting to see if Club 1872 were right about the significant exaggerations of fees received for certain players.

Also to see which mainstream bank extended Rangers a significant line of credit as claimed by the chairman.

A guy who goes about challenging pensioners to a fight can't really talk about anybody else talking the biscuit.

Whodunnit...please stop commenting on my posts. That's what you offered and agreed. It would be good if you could stick to it.

As for the OP...he wrote it to get a reaction. Not sure why. I have him a reaction. Unfortunately for him, all of the points I made are factual or at the very least highly probable.

na im sure he is referring to someone saying me and an other poster (forget who) should just scrap and get it over with... I said something along the lines of na thats just daft however if he wants to jump in my local gym for a spar then he is more than welcome.

the guy hates me, once he started trying to peddle on here that I was a racist and I condone racist I asked him to kindly not reply to my posts and i think he filtered me, which means he has either unblocked me or logged off to see what I said then logged back on to reply, which would be rather sad!

Nonsense about timing, there’s no chance they’ll get accounts out in August. Very few companies get their accounts out in less than two months. Probably banks and a few other plcs that do. And no chance we’re going to pay auditors for an accelerated timetable. The timeframe for Rangers is not unusual for a limited company.

Don’t think anyone will or should care what our balance sheet valuation/write down of players is. And not sure how clear the accounts will be on what we’ve actually received for Patterson, and Gerrard, but it’s well documented by independent sources anyway.

Line of credit shouldn’t be too interesting given the good year we’ve had. But good we’ve got that.

Sands isn't an issue, he gets a lot of unfair stick. He's a good player, the issue is he's similar to a lot of what we had. We didn't need another holding player in midfield.

I don't think Sands has ever had a bad game but because he's not a matchwinner he's had more stick than he should. His contribution has been fine.

I didn't have to 'find' anything.

The OP was universally positive. So the option is either just to agree with everything (which seems to be what you have preferred) or raise some counter arguments.

Not sure why that bothers you so much.
