No no trust me it's a legit trick. If you complain about the experience to the tour guide or host, make sure you say you'll leave a bad trip advisor (that names them) if you don't get a refund/compensated. They all get judged based on trip advisor ratings, so by saying you'll namedrop they usually brick it and comply. I've done it about 5 times now.

Unfortunately no. Would love to. Only gone to UTD on Match days. I always wanted to go with my Dad, rather than my friends, as he would’ve loved it. Just never happened. But seeing what you wrote makes me wanna call my friends and plan to do it.

Anyway after the tour finished I told the person who booked it to complain to Virgin that we didn't think the tour guide was very good in the hope that we'd get our money back and not have to pay for it.
Long story short they said they'd fed it back to City about the tour guide and as compensation could offer us a free Virgin Experience at the same cost. We used that to go to OT.
Do something similar and you'll not have to pay for it.

The restaurant one doesn't always work. For example went to Miller + Carter on King St a few months back and ordered a medium steak. Anyway I noticed that the waiter who took our order clocked off and we were served by other people. Bill time and I right away insisted that I ordered a rare steak, not medium, so shouldn't have to pay but they wouldn't have it on the basis that they're menu system is automated. You know when the waiters and waitresses have tablets instead of pen and paper??
