Romain Saiss has all but confirmed his departure from Wolverhampton Wanderers after six years with the club.
Saiss is set to follow John Ruddy and Marcal out of the door after confirming he has failed to ‘reach an agreement’ over a new contract. (Birmingham Mail Live)

Hey there Gem. Hope you are on the mend after the last few months

It is gonna be silly season for a while now. I reckon two quality additions and a few potentials which won't be anywhere near enough for us to compete top half.

Stories that Wolves had signed a pre contract agreement to sign Brazilian youngster Marquinhos. How he is now poised to sign for Arsenal. Wolves are now taking legal advice.

In a similar issue last year Marseille signed Gueye who had signed a pre contract agreement with Watford. Marseille were forced to pay £2.5m to Watford as compensation and were banned from making further signings for two transfer windows.

I doubt it Tino, Real Mallorca haven't got two euros to rub together.

Wolves and West Ham amongst the clubs interested in Cornet who was one of the bright sparks in Burnley’s poor season. After their relegation he is certain to leave and has a buyout clause of £17m

Jose Sa injured his knee in the last game at Liverpool and there are fears it could be a serious injury. Seems to have injured his medial ligament and the worrying message is that they are ‘hoping’ he will be fit for the start of next season

Really enjoyable national league play off semi final, Wrexham 4 Grimsby 5. McAlinden came on for Wrexham, made no impact though.

Also enjoyed the league 2 play off final, absolutely delighted for the lovely Carol Shanahan.

Is there another match on today?

Looks like Neves might get his wish of a move to Barcelona but the Spaniards are looking to make up for a lack of cash by doing loads of wheeling and dealing. As with Traore they look likely to offer players in exchange and have a host of young players to offer.

Main problem Barca have in offloading players is that the players can’t get a better contract by moving on. They brought in Traore to replace Dembele but he changed his mind and decided to stay at Barca. And players like braithwaite and panjic are ones that they would like to sell but despite not being in the plans for playing, they don’t want go. But they might sell De Jong to Man Utd though which would give them the money to pay for Neves

Would take Braithwaite

If we do 'a deal' with Barca for Neves we will end up losing out big time like we have with Traore. They should be told, if you want him stump up the asking price or sod off.
We need a good fee for Neves to provide funds for incoming seasoned players. Any deal we do with that slippery lot will see us with a heap of young kids that they don't want who are not good enough for the Premier League eg. Trincao. The result then is that we still have a lightweight, threadbare squad and no money to replace Neves, Jimenez, etc.

No excuses for not spending this summer. Big sales, money in, top twenty in the world allegedly. We shall see.

I personally expect us to be disappointed and two 'quality ready' additions and the rest potential again and a bottom half finish next season is on the cards.

I don't mind that if we see some form of progress on the playing staff and a clear direction which this season and even last has sadly gone missing.

Looks like the asking price for Neves is €50m and I think we’d be mad to sell him for less than that. Hope Barca can pay that kind of fee. Much rather he went there than to another Premier League club

Speculation that Hoever will be loaned out next season and evidently top Dutch team Ajax are interested in taking him. That would be a great move for him. Although he has generally been poor when wolves have given him first team chances and by all accounts he remains highly rated by the coaching staff

Southampton evidently lining up a £20m bid for MGW. Would you sell him?
