Nice lay off by Cutrone to Chiquinho but really good play by Bueno to play in Cutrone.
With Chiquinho likely to miss most if not all of next season that reduces our squad even further. We do seem to get more than our fair share of serious injuries
Probably adds to the argument for keeping Adama for another season

Bloody hell, that's terrible news for him and the club.
So the injury jinx has struck already, so we will need yet another player.

Some of the comments about Silva are ridiculous, he needs to do this or that or that's it he's finished. He's 19 ffs, give your heads a wobble.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He’s 20 in 9 Days. The clock does not stop ticking.
Seems that De Jong has turned down a move to Man Utd and prefers to stay in Barcelona. Speculation is that Utd might now reignite their interest in Neves

Man that really sucks for him and us. Liked the look of him, although raw he definitely had that spark we desperately need from the bench at times.

I get that to a point Goldi but at the same time he has played 50+ games for us and is three years into his contract this coming season. And when you see what other unknown youngsters have done there in the last two seasons then he has to deliver quite a lot this season and the pressure is genuinely on him this time.

Just seen the goals from yesterday, nice finish from Podence, nice assist by Cutrone for Chiquinho, couldn't work out who took the corner for MGW 's goal though, any ideas?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Was Conor Ronan
It seems to me that we may be holding onto some of those players that went out on loan last season.
MGW, Traore, Ronan and maybe Cutrone.
Can see Traore and MGW staying but no chance Ronan or Cutrone though i would be happy to see Cutrone stick around.
You must be a little concerned Wolfie, the two players you have been promoting most recently in Fabio and Chiquinho will now have no part in our season.
Cutrone is an absolute busted flush isn't he? A serial failure who has consistently been unable to make an contribution at any club he plays for. Its a shame for us and him that he's virtually worthless now but we should be seriously worried about Fosun's long term ambitions if Cutrone ends up in our first team this year. It would also be monumentally stupid to send our 35m wunderkind out to a second rate league in order to give Cutrone game time.
*and apparently also has a poor attitude.

Yeah from a club standpoint it wouldn't look good that is for sure.
Cutrone did alright last season for like six months and then fell out of favour again. Maybe he didn't hide his frustrations? Sure we will move him on.

I don't deny there is a certain amount of pressure on him, driven by the ridiculous fee we paid but come on if he got 10 goals in Belgium at the age of 20 would that be a failure? I've said before he's got the makings of a decent forward, not a 30 goal a season striker maybe but someone capable of scoring decent numbers at a high level in Europe. I think people forget he got 4 goals at the age of 18 in the PL off the back of limited game time (ok two were against the S**t) and from what I saw of him last season he's got a big future in the game. Writing him off by putting inflated expectations on him so that we can conjure ammunition to fire at Jeff Shi isn't really fair on him.
I like Silva personally and none of the BS that comes with him is his fault. 10 goals, hmm, should be expecting better i think. If things were different and two unknown kids hadn't smashed it in the last two years there then maybe not but he has to be ahead of those two surely?
None of this is Silva’s fault, but for a club like ours to invest so much money on a prospect is frankly ridiculous. If he comes good in two to three years time then we will have still lost four to five years having shelved out a fortune which could have been put to much better use.
I'm not concerned at all cinci. Chiquinho did look good from the appearances he had, but we have Neto and Jonny back, hopefully to full fitness. They were both missed, as we all know.
I'm more interested in what happens to the players that came back from loan spells. We can only loan out 4 more of our 6 left, so what happens to the others? Do we try and sell them or include them in this seasons senior squad?
It would make sense to keep some, at least until the next transfer window.
We still have a way to go until this window closes, so I'm not concerned at all.
Supposedly some incomings this week
Depends what your ambitions are with regard to being concerned really. Personally anything less than seventh is and was a step back and we have no chance of seventh without multiple strong signings.
10-13th? Yeah, should manage that with only a couple of additions. Bit of a comedown though isn't it. Hopefully we just see some progress in our football if the season is going to be a mediocre one so that next season maybe we have something to look forward to.

I would tend to agree that if we only got I or 2 decent seasons out of him out it would be a waste of money but that's on the club not him personally. Unless of course we got our money back or even a profit.
I am gutted for Chiquinho and hope he recovers as best he can and with all the support he needs, I was really looking forward to seeing him play in my renewed seat in the Billy Quiet , I thought he could be a revelation next season
