We'd be stupid to sell MGW at the moment, so that makes it more likely to happen.

Completely contradictory reports today about MGW with some saying he is on the point of joining Forest and others saying he is no longer interested in leaving Wolves. Take your pick what you believe there.

Speculation that Wolves will turn to loan signings having failed so fa to sell of buy anyone except Collins. Batshuayi of Chelsea and Rodrigues of Barcelona being linked

Isn't it Nico Gonzalez who has been linked from Barca?

Could do worse than look at Broja, can’t see him getting many opportunities at Chelsea and he looked excellent in spells last season.

Breaking news from Sky Sports News. Nottingham Forest have made a third bid for MGW with a package totalling £35m.
The bid has been rejected by Wolves.

Neves to Man United
Coady to Everton
MGW to Forest
Traore to Real Betis on loan

We are putting together a really strong squad on the quiet Amiga.

If MGW doesn't leave, he must have been assured that he will get sufficient game time this season and is in Bruno's plans.

Anyone know if Sir Halfy is still around?

Wolves reject third forest bid for mgw and insist he's not for sale.

What bugs me with this is that if we were even half competent at building a squad then selling MGW for 35 million would be a no brainer really. But the fact we have so few options coupled with the fact we have shown that we are pretty hopeless at reinvestment makes it a far trickier situation.

Predictions cinci, as there's a game today.

We bought Coady for 2.5m seven years ago, so even a 10m sale would be seen as good business. Not sure he'll make the WC squad wherever he is, come November.

If Coady is playing regularly in the premier league at the centre of a back 3 he is a certainty for the World Cup squad, because it gives Southgate the option of using that formation, which he has done a number of times before

To sell a current England squad member for £10m would be barmy. How much we paid for him is completely irrelevant. He must be worth at least £25m

Realistically it would be somewhere in-between i think.

Yeah he is an England international but that is only in one specific system and any club interested would also basically be committing to one specific system.

Stability is the essence of a good defence. Every team commits to one specific system. Guardiola is committed to 4 at the back, as is Klopp. Tuchel and Conte are committed to 3 at the back. Both systems work if you have the players suited to the system, but that means the system needs to suit all 11 players not just the back line

Whatever way it ends up going Coady has been a fantastic signing for us and among our best value for money signings of all time. Be sorry to see him go but think now is probably the right time for him and us.

Bayern have won the Bundesliga the last 10 seasons but I've seen a few articles predicting that could change this season with Dortmund taking over. Well good luck to them with that. Bayern are playing their first game of the league season tonight and away against a decent Eintracht Frankfurt team they are 5 ahead at half time

Watch Foolham and Palhinha looked good and just what we need but as usual we missed the bus by messing around.

How does loaning Coady out benefit us in any way whatsoever. Absolutely absurd the way this club has gone from one extreme to the other.

posted on 8/8/22

It doesn't really benefit the club other than reducing the wage bill. It does, however, benefit Coady in a big way. I know the club comes first and, of course, it is a business to make money, but If this move was done for the benefit of Coady I think it's no more than he deserves.

We have good options at the back, Coady is not going to be part of a back 4. It makes sense to let him go, save some wages, give him a chance to make the England squad, and maybe get a transfer fee at the end of it all.
