When i was a kid all day was all about the FA cup final.
We watched it from breakfast till bed time.
It was always a 3pm kick off but now, sadly the fans are the last consideration!

Yeah it's sad that the FA Cup has been devalued over the years. I prefer the 3pm kick off time too, but can live with the early evening kick off if at least it was the final game of the domestic season. Far too often over the last 10-20 years it's taken place before the final round of league games. Not helpful for it's prestige

“Imagine a top club parading an FA Cup and Carabao cup

Especially when they didn’t score a fecking goal in either of the finals! Penalty cups 🤣

As I said. United lost an FA Cup final once and paraded through Manchester on an open top bus, but with no trophy in front of a million people. The very next season United won the FA Cup and did the same thing again this time with the Cup.

This might sound a bit strange of me to say, but I think I've become a bit desensitised to the FA Cup. Maybe it's because we've won it a lot in recent years, or maybe it's because I felt winning it masked a lot of Wenger's shortcomings, but I really want to see us win other trophies.

I know the League Cup has an even worse reputation, but we've only won it twice in our history and haven't won it since 1993. I'd like to see us take it a bit more seriously.

Even the Europa League - over the years, I've seen Arsenal fans dismiss the competition. However, we've never won it before and we don't exactly have an illustrious European history, so I want to see us win it.

There's a lot more competition nowadays though, so it's harder to accrue silverware. Nevertheless, I'm hoping at some point I get to see us win a wider variety of trophies.

The FA Cup means a lot to me. But it's more because when I was a kid, we (United) were winning everything and reached the FA Cup final three years in a row in the mid 90s. I remember my Dad saying to me before the game against Liverpool in 96 to really enjoy it as it might seem like we do it every year but in reality you can wait a decade or more to get back there. I sort of laughed it off as a 10 year old kid who'd seen us there every year would. But I think we've reached 2 FA Cup finals in the last 17 years, so those words have sadly proved pretty profound. When we beat Palace in 2016 I was over the moon. Just as much as with a league title tbh

Surely you had a league title in that season though even if you lost the cup final, parading without any trophy at all really would be ridiculous.

No title or anything else. A bus top parade just to celebrate losing the FA Cup final

Well there you go. You learnt something today.

Lukaku's ruled out goal was a mile onside proving var is insulting our intelligence and should be consigned to the garbage bin. Lets go back to how it was when the ref really was the b@stard in the black (no offence intended)

Liverpool aren't a top club lol.

Never have been, never will be. Don't let the media or the LFC fans fool you into thinking otherwise.

That ball club will always be on the outside, looking in.

No. I'm a realist who doesn't fall for media-driven narratives.

Won the FA Cup with LVG - no parade
Won the league cup and Europa cup - no parade

Maybe back in the days of limited television exposure and when domestic cup trophies mattered then maybe a different question.

But these days, unless it’s one or both of the big two competitions it’s a pretty small club that would celebrate that.

I’d wager if Klopp had taken the cup competitions seriously before this year he could’ve had another purple of the FA cup or league cup.

It’s actually quite funny really, they’ve treated both with utter contempt since klopp took over and now they magically take it seriously they want a parade and everyone to bask in the glory of winning competitions they themselves clearly don’t rate.

OP looking like a bigger mug here than the parade

Football was about winning trophies and celebrating. Now days it seem some people so desperate to rain on other people's success will come up with all kind of pathetic posts etc.

Yes they are the lesser cups but I bet every single one of you prob still watched the final hoping Liverpool lost.

Southampton 76 lost the final, so no Trophy.

Liverpool 77 the scouse treble busting year when United won the FA Cup to spoil their party. Closest Liverpool have ever got to THE Treble.

Both the biggest parades ever.
