Actually I have been told " I fit the description of the suspect " !!

But I am born and bred in Nottingham and when you're six years old in 1976 and living on a sink estate in Nottingham with nothing but football as an escape, and your team is promoted (1976/1977), wins the first division (1977/1978), and two consecutive European cups(78/79 & 79/80) you remain a red for the rest of your life.

Have been exiled in Doha for the last 5 years !!

I was 21 in 1976, it seems like a lifetime ago now, which of course it is....... although some things from the past stick in the memory like it was yesterday.

My advice is to saviour the moment and never take success for granted, because rather like a fickle mistress you never know quite when, in football the good times are about to depart!

No, simply writing it as a reflective piece based on my own reflections and recollections, then double-checking my facts with internet searches.
It's a cathartic experience for me that helps me let go of the past and embrace the present.
