we're likely signing CCV and Jota, not worried about that.
——————-
I think you should be. Wasn’t May 31st the deadline for Celtic having exclusivity on CCV?

As predicted Goldson couldn't even get a team on a free despite having had a great run in Europe and costing his team very few goals.

Absolutely delighted to see the big haddie have to accept that he's not as good as he thinks he is.

I would doubt if any of the rest of the galacticos will be able to get teams either.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Shouldn't matter either way mags, you said few weeks, ago celtic would win the league by 20 points.
Same as last season then its the league that matters not Europe.
That will be the patter on here as the 6th psg goal hits the net 😀

the goal was on bassey, he lets the man run off him and score.

inexperience cost him, its the one attribute that you can't have as a young man, unless you're one of these guys with terrific insight and ability to read the ball.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I am not sure why folk are so determined to blame Bassey. It would have been a terrific piece of last gasp defending if he had dealt with it. Particularly for a left footed defender trying to deal with someone running across him on that side.

The situation shouldnt have come to that though.

Wright was doing an impression of Steven Whittaker giving the boy time and space to put the ball in as he pleased and Goldson showed absolutely no defensive instincts to block the area at the front post.

It doesnt make them all terrible players. They just got caught out on that occasion.

i don't think its determination as much as eyesight, he loses his man and no amount of rose tinted specs on the lad changes it.

he's a good young player, perhaps the cross shouldn't have got in but where was tavernier, why was it wright?

I personally think McLaughlin is the better keeper now.
========

thats a bold statement , time will prove mcgregor a better keeper i think.

we're likely signing CCV and Jota, not worried about that.

Rogics replacement is O'Riley.

we need a left back and if julien goes we need a cb.

i'd like a CDM but i dont think thats on the cards.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
maybe its just on the basis of the celtic game tbf, but it was such a relief seeing your keeper command his box like he did rather than Sh@gger rooted to his line. Especially domestically where we face so many balls into the box.

I expect you to sign them both too but it will be at a cost.

didnt count Julien as someone to be replaced as he never featured anyway and seems pretty clear Ange has zero plans for him and he has been told as much.

I was just talking about the players leaving that weaken your squad.

not that means anything .... any of our players could be sold at any moment.

hes to blame, hes marking the forward and lets him get a steal on him .

wtf is it with folk no wanting to see this ??

have a look at the live thread when the goal goes in ...

It wasnt his only mistake of the night either , but who cares ...whats done is done

Tav should have stopped the ball coming in

Barasic is left footed - it would have been amazing defending had he managed to get in front of Abada/Jota

i thought he was rangers motm by a mile, nobody close to him.

while he was to blame for the goal (imo) he did have another rocky moment which could have ended badly but he recovered brilliantly, if thats on the other flank then its a goal.

no shame in it, he got caught out by a good striker he should have tracked better.

what a signing he was.

scoring in that 2-1 defeat at ibrox
missing countless matches

coming on as the big game player for the big game moment and then hitting an absolute schiter of a penalty.

think we can all appreciate his hard work.

100% agree.
I actually thought Bassey read the thing correctly.

No point engaging with the lad and possibly have him diving for a penalty when the ball shouldn't have come in in the first place and Goldson looked set to clear it.

99 times from a hundred that works out for him. Goldson should have put it in Row Z

It’s very much a correct statement. McGregor id a legend but cost us last season far too many times. Can go through each of the games we dropped points after Christmas, bar the 3-0, and he was at fault in every one. Twice against Ross County, which lead to more slip ups.

McGregor looks every bit a 40 year old. Don’t think we’d have won the Scottish cup if he started, having a keeper that comes of his line to claim a cross is a treat and makes a huge difference to the defence at set pieces and crosses.

Not sure what on earth you're blabbering on about.

The league is more important.

I believe Celtic will win the league comfortably. Its just an opinion. I don't hide my opinions on likely league winners like most on here. Always call it early and irs at least 10 years since I got it wrong.

If Celtic or Rangers get psg next year I'd expect them to lose and possibly quite heavily. Not sure what point you're making there.

I say I dont understand why folk are determined to blame Bassey but its pretty obvious why.

Bassey was touch tight with his man and but the striker showed just enough movement and got in front of him.

I was a CB for 30 years - if I was Bassey I would of course bee frustrated I couldnt stop the boy from scoring.

If I was Goldson I would be hanging my head I didnt cut out the cross.

And both of them should be raging that Wright never made a better job of stopping it at source.

All three played their part. Bassey was the last line of defence with by far the hardest job out the three of them IMO.

Anyone comparing that Europa Final goal to Barisic/Abada in the 3-0 game really needs to go rewatch that goals. Barisic is a statue as Abada goes past him and he is practically on his haunches 3 yards away by the time Abada scores.

Delighted your delighted.

Saves us £7m or so it would cost to replace him. Here’s hoping he continues to pick up silverware at an increasing rate and we continue to punch well above our weight in Europe with him at the centre of that.

McGregor and Davis both had their Scott Brown seasons last year and nether will come back from that.

They shouldn't be playing for Rangers next season.

McLaughlin is a great back up keeper for Rangers but he's not good enough to be first choice at a top club IMO.

His signing on fee plus 8ncreased wages over those 4 years might bring it close to that number tbh?
