I have no issue with people doing it, it’s doing no harm.

But I do think it’s a typical action of our social media generation… want to be seen to care and to be doing something, but ultimately achieving nothing.

Although ironically, the countries who boo it actually serve to boost the message that this gesture is supposed to project, so that’s something.

What are you on about? We stopped Kony in 2012 with our Facebook statuses

What gives us the right to tell other countries to behave? We aint the world police and its ridiculous how often we try to be. This country is in no position to tell other countries how to behave given how awful a chunk of English people are.

Knees and Rainbow armbands, its no wonder they booed grown men being used as political chips in there own backyard.

b) "I'm a racist twaat"

Can you not do this to me please? Waiting until the final three words to stick the "there" in is cruelty. But relieved I don't need to do any recalibration

Those who boo are lessening the chances of it stopping.

The players are not going to want the dissenters to think they've won so everytime there is a high profile booing incident it just prolongs the gesture.

We need to respect other people's views and cultures in their countries*

*when it's something we agree with, but don't if it doesn't suit our argument

Murdering journalists and women in Saudi Arabia? Who are we to disagree with that stance? Just a different culture innit

Remember ‘keep politics out of sport’ re taking the knee, followed by agreeing with Priti Patel’s and Boris’ opposition to taking the knee, support for Ukraine being showed at all matches and the long standing rainbow campaign that doesn’t receive the same criticism.

Almost like some have the attitude of lat racists be racist.

Stop an anti racism gesture because racists don’t like it? That doesn’t seem like a great idea.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Doesn't have to be stopped. No one will boo a hand on your heart. Kneeling is silly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2 things. 1 you've completely misinterpreted my point deliberately, either because you're thick or because you're on the wum. You pick which.

Secondly, do you really think doing something to antagonise somebody is going to be the thing that changes their mind?

Either you want to actually fix the problems of racism, or you just want to feel superior and like many others I'd suggest for you it's the latter.

Unfortunately like all of these things, taking the knee, changing the names of brands, defacing statues of Churchill etc, these are pointless distractions away from the real issues we need to address.

Like assault weapons and guns in the us. What’s your stance on that?

Hate to say this but this is spot on...

Just got back from a wee trip to the 1930s in Germany. There appears to be some anti Jewish sentiment forming there. Just a different culture though and we should respect it rather than opposing it or highlighting the issue.

Some clowns on this board wet themselves over virtue signalling and suppression of free speech.

Cvnts will be cvnts.

If uefa weren't cvnts they'd just ban ALL crowd or the country they are trying to punish but they're cvnts with ££££ all that matters.

If the wee cvnts didn't hear their cvnty dads being racist maybe they wouldn't be racist or maybe the 'chaperones' of these children are kicking it off?

Take the knee or not its OK to do nothing - not take the knee but not object to those who do.

As said, not all players will agree but do it for an easy life. Its OK, I don't believe in religion but I'll go to a wedding or funeral and ST FU out of respect to those that give a damn.

Maybe I'm liberal?

I have always thought taking to one knee was a daft way of approaching this issue. However if the players see it as their way of making a point regarding racism then I would never boo it.

Kids booing it with their parents stood next to them says a lot about the culture in that country. Horrible - and the ban should be extended and include under 14’s too.

Scrutinise the point. Dont just mock the sayer.

This game was played behind closed doors and only children under the age of 14 were allowed in. This is because Hungary were handed a three match spectator ban due to... racism.

The OP is clearly a moron.

I did scrutinise the point. You're a clown that parrots phrases you hear from far right commentators, so I mocked you.

What you wrote made no sense, by the way, just right wing bingo.

“Definitely should be removed, Fackin pointless and all it does is highlight it more”

Surely that’s the point of it? It keeps it in conversation instead of slipping into yesterdays news, like most things do these days. Then when the racists use it as an opportunity to boo, they can be called out and sanctioned. Otherwise their views won’t be challenged.

It's telling when people resort to name-calling when they disagree with someone. A sign that society is ignorant and unwise.

Carry on virtue signalling for your overlords underlings as you crawl deeper into misery and woe.
