I'm not sure £80m will be enough to get Rice. I think he's top drawer. He's the nearest I've seen to Roy Keane in terms of that box to box ability. His driving runs are almost identical. With Kante not getting any younger I can see why Chelsea would be in for him.
As someone else said, completely different player to Mount but they're best mates. They'll link up together brilliantly. I'm not sure it's a position they need to worry about as much as central defence though. Silva is 37 and Rudiger is gone, Christensen is leaving, Azpilicueta is fading fast and they've not really got much in the way of cover. They need at least two central defenders, which, as a Spurs fan, worries me. They're bound to trump the bids we're putting in for the likes of Bastoni, Torres or Bremer.
