I read that, it was that news story that made me wonder about the payments. I haven't read anything about it so I'm assuming payment was made.

Just had a Google to see what this story was about.
Given both sides are renowned lying basturds, I'm not sure who to believe.. Rangers who say the UK Government invited them to the celebration, or the UK Gov saying Rangers paid for and invited them to the celebration.
