But Donny is rubbish and Eriksen is good at football. That’s not daft but sensible business.

He didn't look rubbish when he last played for our new manager though and that was in the CL too.

Given we had no idea how to keep the ball the last few years I'm not shocked he's not done well so far.

He's got a new start this season. Sancho too as he wasn't very good last season either.

We could sell Donny if we sign Eriksen. Thus improving the squad and using some of the transfer fee towards better players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Given we have just hired his former boss this would be a bit daft.

Eriksen is also wrong side of 30 and people acting like it's Kaka in his pomp here. The desperation for some signings is getting too much for some folk. 😂

I think you’ve read posts by 5 or 6 members claiming it would be a sensible signing on a free and would add quality to the squad and somehow misunderstood those posts for people being desperate to sign him at all costs.

He didn’t look as good as Eriksen. And he’s never looked good in England. Hopefully Donny decides to leave so he can try and get into the Dutch squad. He’s a waste of a squad place.

Not happening mate. ETH will give him a chance to prove what he can do. In fact, I think he will play a key role in the team.

I'm watching De Jong in action now. Not flashy but always available and he can pass! Perhaps Barca would take VDB for him? Brennan Johnson having another good game too. May be worth keeping an eye on him..

De Jong has committed plenty of fouls too!

Doubt it.

Why is Frenkie in the Holland B Team anyway?

Why do United keep going after players who are in negotiations with clubs in a better position than them? Are they trying to lure them with crazy wages or something?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Clearly not, otherwise we would have signed them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not true which is why you didn't.

We could tell them they beat Madrid to him...

Did SE85 just favourably compare a South American to a player linked to United?

This probably is not tho post to write it on. But a top quality striker is worth his weight in gold, plus diamonds for eyes.
We won our last title mainly thanks to RVP, who was a, slightly unacknowledged, genius.
I would always push the boat out on the best striker possible if I was a manager.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What strikers are out there though?

There is a real dearth atm of proven goal scorers. 34 year old lewa seems to be only one somewhat available

Failing that you’re having to spend 100m euros on unproven strikers with a touch like lukaku who have had one good season in a second rate League
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Off the top of my head, Nkunku, Ben Yedder, Moussa Dembele, Berardi, Osimhen…

There are available players out there, but if Ronaldo is staying, it doesn’t need to be a 20 goal a season striker this window.

I think Ronaldo will stay to be honest

I understand Ronaldos flaws in a pressing system, and the concerns over him playing for ETH but you can't question his attitude and I think he'll go up a level (to what we saw at times this year) by virtue of having a team around him who match his attitude playing for a manager that hopefully raises the level.

No reason why he can't feature like Haller did for Ajax, he's hardly Tevez in terms of workrate.

I think Ronaldo will score plenty again, and we'll make a big CF signing next summer as we continue to add to the squad.

The issue is who else can take some of the scoring responsibility over the course of the season.
