£55m plus add ions taking it to £60/65m.
Clubs have agreed fee according to reports. Down to personal terms now.
Good deal for the club.
just need to spend wisely
£100 million, most of it cash up front, for Raph and KP is acceptable in my book and we can move on and capture 3 or 4 more first team replacements one of which is hopefully this young Belgium playmaker.
Freaking great. Sad to see both go but, 100 mill
invested in the right players and we have a Prem
squad better equipped for the season. Well done.
Gapko and CDK would be a good start.
For DM it seems Tyler Adams and Mo Camara are heavily linked. From what I've seen I'd prefer Camara.
I’ll be honest. Feeling very very nervous about next season now. Orta has a terrible record with signings (other than Raphinna). A month to go to get deals done and get players in and ready for the season. Another nail-biting season ahead.
American manager with no PL experience
No Bielsa
No KP
No Raphinna
What could possibly go wrong.
problem is we have to trust Orta to spend that money and im not convinced yet of who we have signed or will sign. Seems we are after JMs wishlist of players he knows from lower standard leagues and there is no guarantee of how any will fair. Guy has about a 10% hit rate i reckon so im not gonna get too excited just yet. If they and JMs tactics fail in first couple of months then there will be no way back and we will have blown our budget on players most on here had never heard of before. We seem to have only one basket and sounds like the kitchen sink will be in it as well if we believe even a fraction of the rumours

First part of that statement is irrelevant.

Both are factual. Would hardly call 12 games “experienced”…..
You said 'no PL experience' and then confirmed
yourself, that he indeed does have PL experience.
Lay off the booze.
Season hasn’t even started yet. Calm down ffs
I’ll correct it - just for you pal.
We have an inexperienced PL American manager with experienced poor style of play.

Well said, Batty, can posters just stop putting the word 'American' before manager? It's not just irrelevant, it stinks of racism. It might have been funny 40 years ago, but now, it's just embarrassing.

Exactly... we never said Argentinian Bielsa.
Give JM a break FFS it's like there's a rabid, obsessive desire for the guy to fall on his sword so that the "I told you so" brigade can feed their own narcissistic ego with self congratulatory fervor at the expense of the club failing. How effed up is that!
We have all ridden an unbelievably stressful roller-coaster of a season whereby we survived on the last day and enjoyed the euphoria of that joyful and unexpected moment so I personally am viewing this upcoming season as a clean slate for JM and relishing and appreciating still being in the Premier league.
Any thoughts of slagging off the manager or player recruitment are nowhere near in my thought process.
However if by Christmas things look bleak then fair enough, that's the time for scrutiny and possible question marks over the coach and players but until then I'm remaining cautiously positive, realistic and hoping the negative Nellie's can hold their fire for a few months at least.. you may just be pleasantly surprised.
... spot on Macca
Phillips and Raph going was extremely likely. Whoever was/is manager was going to have to rebuild and start next season missing our 2 best players. It's a tough gig for anyone, hopefully we'll have more quality distributed across the squad to compensate but it will be a lot of new players to integrate.
Some are unhappy at the amount of players coming in/linked that have worked with Marsch before but in these circumstances it's an advantage that they know his set-up and style... hopefully they can hit the ground running
Macca/ milkyboy
Stop talking sense, everybody knew on this board 4 years ago that Bielsa was going to take us to dizzy heights....
Nobody said 4 years ago "with this squad we will be lucky not to be relegated from the championship"....
Reality is change was coming sooner rather than later anyway. JM came in did a job under difficult circumstances and has earned his crack at leading our wonderful club.
KP slightly disappointing, Raph expected but in some ways hope it works out for them but more importantly us.
JM, his system and hopefully hungry new blood will prove the doubters wrong but we should all get behind them and hope all Leeds fans have a very Merry Xmas rather than looking for a new manager.....

I've said a couple off times around here, mates said Marsch didn't do any good at Leipzig, but a couple off them say he wasn't really given a proper shot at the job!..
The bod that took over from him did well, but mates say he did it with the players and system that Marsch put in place and think if he'd been given a better chance he might have been as good as any!..
For me, Nationality plays no part in how good a man/woman is, its how they work with others and how much they can get out off them that counts!..
I must admit I wasnt too happy with some of our performances under JM last season. However, he did keep us up and was unable to fully utilise his system on to the players with the time and players he had available.
He deserves a crack at it this season and I will fully be behind him.
Thanks fellas, good to know a lot of us feel the same way. As Macca says, JM is starting the season with a clean slate.
He's earned his place as coach, in my view. Let's get behind him and LUFC. MOT.

At no point did I say I’m not backing JM ffs.
Just said I’m nervous with orta’s transfer record, JM lack of PL experience (rightly corrected from no PL experience) rapha and Phillips going all in a space of a very short time.
A few need to take a chill pill. D11kheads. Can’t even make a simple comment without it taken out of context.
And I've not said you've said you're not backing Marsch, I'm only saying Nationality plays no part in how good anybody is!..
