Motorsport has always been full of racists and Nazzi/fascist apologists.

It’s a rich white man’s game.

The Russian state is actively recruiting cannon fodder for its war of aggressive against Ukraine. He has a genuine opportunity to demonstrate the substance of his convictions, as articulated from the comfortable Ibiza setting where he was interviewed.

He’ll be telling us about the fiat currency soon and how he saw something ‘big’ was going to happen.

Ordinarily i'd think that last comment was a bit over the top.

Not this time .......

Ecclestone would have made a top notch Republican over here.

There are many that share his views on the red side of the US Senate. Way too many for proper democracy to work, which is why the USA is sliding towards being a third world country.

Just seen that GMB interview now.

They've tweeted the video and a United fan (perhaps someone on here) replied with this - https://twitter.com/Banjo__7/status/1542444767841320960?s=20&t=ea4FDD3RvUXyJio13R8V_A

Russia warned Ukraine that joining the EU would result in war. Whether that’s right or wrong Ukraine knew the consequences. They ignored the threats and once attacked changed heart and decided to not join the EU. If i was Ukranian i’d feel that Zalenskyy lets us down

Zelensky was pursuing what should be a democratic right to pursue, if that's what the electorate of Ukraine voted for.

It's not for some sh1thouse dictator over the border to determine the outcome.

Very possibly. That said not seen too many provincial cities, towns and villages flattened because of an archaic attitude to democracy. Maybe i've missed it on the news.

I know what you're alluding to - trust me, not trying to defend our own sh1thouse leadership, but I don't think you or I are dealing with the same levels of interference as the good people of Ukraine.....

Of course not. It was just a flippant throwaway remark really from me and the two situations aren't comparable like that.

Are we comfortable that Ukraine isn't to blame? We've certainly invaded countries under less provocation.

What provocation was there from Ukraine?

And when were we in the west ever justified to invade those countries anyway?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

1) NATO encroachment despite (Russian perceived) assurances given post German reunification that they wouldn't expand further East.

2) Suspicion on the Russian side that the West had an active hand in the removal of the pro-Russian government in the mid 2010's - we obviously heard one version of events in our media, but Russia has another...

There's a load of other stuff that doesn't seem to have much foundation (Neo-N*zi/Azov battalion & genocide of Russian-speaking Ukrainians post the war), but then again those arguments are about as credible as our arguments for going into Iraq, so whilst two wrongs don't make a right we're treading the thin ice of hypocrisy by criticising Russia.
