Are Spurs now a bigger attraction

They have some good safety deposit boxes at the new WHL I've heard.

In the trophy room.

For mercenaries Man Utd will always be a big attraction because of the insane wages they pay even average players. Unfortunately for Utd it means they have a squad of players mainly there for the money that are also extremely hard to rid of because few other clubs will match let alone increase their wages.

Errr, quite obviously no.

Arsenal and United are the two biggest teams in soccer.

In Arsenal’s case, we dominate in all sports (NFL, NHL, NLL etc.).

Just having a new stadium and signing a MF from Brighton doesn’t put you on our level, I’m sorry to say.

Think the same could be said of Chelsea, but they ain't got their sugar daddy now sanctioning huge wages, so the mercenary players won't be going there now.

Definitely not. We’re a bigger draw than Arsenal right now though, not the other two.

You also have to remember that whilst we’ve had a productive window, we’ve not won anything yet. All those other teams have. Even Arsenal during their shiiiiit years managed to win the FA Cup multiple times.

Think you’re getting ahead of yourself here Sandy.

Feeling is mutual.

Difference is, we use the NLD as a training session, and then actually use that to go an win major titles.

Spurs train hard but then don’t win anything

In fact, seeing as you guys love to host NFL games, maybe we’ll come play one of our regular season games at your place and show you guys the Lombardi Trophy.

Yeah I don't get why people are even taking this comment seriously. Clearly a troll trying to get a reaction. Or as you say a Spurs fan trying to embarrass Arsenal which would be funny

Certain things about Spurs would be more attractive, a top manager, great stadium, a couple of top players already in the side and CL football but money talks and is often the biggest factor for a lot of players.

Spurs rightfully don't want to offer the sort of wages certain players demand so United and to a lesser extent Arsenal are more attractive in that regard

I didn't mention anything about winning trophies. I just asked the question if Spurs are a bigger attraction.

Why do you think Chelsea are a bigger attraction right now?

Coz they can offer better wages, have a much better trophy room, more chance of winning trophies, same calibre of manager, and finished higher than you last season

I was about to respond to your comment Sandy but this guy has pretty much hit the nail on the head. They've also got a better squad of players than us. Your chances of winning something is far greater at Chelsea than it is at Spurs and a change of ownership won't affect that for quite some time yet. Maybe in 5 years we'll see some levelling off regarding spending but not yet.

Sandy... If Spurs win our first couple of games, and you're thinking of writing a cringey 'we'll win the league with a bit to spare' article, please don't do it. It's embarrassing.

They have just list the big advantage they had over Spurs and the rest of the Prem, when the Russian went.

We are talking about now, not the Abramovich era. They will be in no better position now to offer more money than Spurs, in fact they will probably have a lot less income than Spurs.

They have a good squad and a good manager though. They are also in the CL. Being realistic, unless something goes horribly wrong there won't be any sharp decline in their fortunes as much as we might hope for that.

How have they now got a better squad of players? There strikers are not on the same level as Sputs strikers. There best defender has left, and their midfield does not look that great. The cracks were appearing second half of the season, and they don't now have the money to just spend at will.

Sandy, they're not going to implode coz he's not there anymore (maybe not yet) and what happened while he was there is still valid (which was only last season). The trophies, titles, CL wins etc still matters to players and they more of all of that than Spurs at the mo.

I agree with Sandy on this.

With Roman gone, Chelsea don’t have that much pull anymore.

The new ownership group there is a private equity fund, who will only ever invest with a view to make a profit. So they won’t be breaking the bank like Roman did.

Chelsea will now be a club that has to sell to buy (a la LFC under FSG).

They’re struggling to even get Raphina over the line.
