No. The club wanted to keep Mane. Mane wanted a new challenge. Salah wanted to stay.

I think given their age Klopp might have been told he can renew one of their deals but no the others

fair do's if that was wrong was just a suggestion.

Mane's contract is huge and I thought Pool board might have thought given their ages and the wage they were looking at , it might have been a case of one of the other stays

Absolute buzzing with this news.

If he left next summer hed go down as 1 of the greats but in that bracket below kenny and stevie.

With this news he has the chance to actually end his career right alongside them both.

gr8 thts one less thing to worry about, hopefully he can find form again

Could also be the club simply saw it as more important to hold onto Salah after Mane left - either way, wonderful news on this wonderful day with wonderful weather

A raft of players have already signed new contracts within the last year. Ox, Keita, Matip and Firmino are the only players who's contracts expire within the next year then I think it's Thiago in 2024. The rest are 2025 and beyond. Ox will either be sold or leave in a free next season. Firmino will likely leave on a free next season and Matip will likely decide based on games played but he would be looking for a massive pay increase.

Keita will likely be signed to a new contract depending on his injury situation and who will get in for next season.

tell them to equal salahs performances and they will get them !

Silly prices being bandied about for mid table and even championship players nowadays I hate to think what it'd cost to replace Salah.

Always thought he'd leave, which is why the Bellingham transfer next year struck me as strange. Size of the fee, and thinking Liverpool would need to replace Salah, I didn't get how it made sense. Makes sense now.

The likes of VVD, Trent, Allison and Robbo are on long contracts so can't really knock on the door while players like Diaz and Nunez now know performances on the pitch lead to richer rewards.

Trent = 2025
Robbo = 2026
Fabinho = 2026
Konate = 2026
Diaz = 2027
Nunez = 2027

Mo staying in the Premier League is clearly great news for all
