Hickey to Brentford

It's a great signing, but I wonder what the plan is with them. Rico Henry seems to have been one of their better performers last season, and Brentford need a RB more than a LB. Wonder if the plan is to play Hickey there, given that he can play both sides.

Would seem a waste, as he has been consistently better on the left. May have to get used to playing RB anyway, though, if he wants to force himself into the Scotland team.

True Lubo. Scotland have a wealth of riches at LB.

Sadly we don't. He would've fit in our team no worries.
Great talent. Really sick about him going to the Bees.

He was dog schit for Scotland, didn’t get the hype at Hearts but by all accounts he’s done well in Italy.

^^^^^

He made his debut for Hearts at age of 16.
He was signed by Bologna age 18.
And he's developed fast. And I'm pretty sure
when he's played for Scotland so far, he's had
to play as RB, not his natural LB position.

So calling him 'dog schit' is well off the mark.

We beat them to Kristensen, so ti t for tat, I suppose. The club clearly don't think we need another LB, which seems a risk.

Does look a great signing. For a long time now, the PL has been the richest league around. But clubs haven't spent the money wisely enough to make the league truly competitive from top to bottom. Quite the opposite in fact.

But this summer, there are some very interesting signings. Could see a more competitive and compelling league. Who knows, maybe the champions will even finish with less than 90 points. Probably wishful thinking

Dog schit for Scotland, I was a few rows from him and he was hooked after 45mins.

Dog schit is being kind in describing his performance

Agree

Unless Davis has improved a lot, having no Firpo cover looks like a daft mistake yet again. He barely stayed fit and we was, he could of started a yellow card confetti business.

Leif Davis started 7 championship games last season.
Read somewhere Marsch is impressed with him.
Got completely bullied in our embarrassing cup games by tier 4/5 players.

Be very surprised if he was suddenly the answer next season.

Leeds fan worried they missed out
He's probably crap

I'm guessing like Kebab has said Davis will not be good enough at LB so that basically leaves us with Firpo, Struiyk, Hjelda and Dallas but Dallas is out until the new year at least. Or maybe JM will do a Garath Southgate and play a right back at LB.... Shackleton???

Firpo, Davis (who is, I hear, doing OK in training), Hjelde, Dallas and Harrison.
We will not be signing a left back, personnel wise we have plenty on the left.

Shackleton probably on the move.

I don't get this obsession with Shacks, he has never shown himself to be good enough, if he wasn't a Leeds boy you wouldn't consider him the answer,

Shackleton will be a very good championship standard midfielder but if we keep him on our books he can do a half decent job as a back up right back certainly and as a last resort left back but if he does go which as you say Els does seem likely then like Roberts will get the opportunity to play week in week out and like Mowett have a very good career.

Scotland must find it abit annoying that the most promising players all all full backs

He is a useful player.

However, he really is a textbook example of players need to play first team football, at any level, and not constantly in the reserve.

His passing and movement in the reserves was something else compared to what he was up against, however its just not the same as playing first team games.

Had he gone on loan to a league one or even two side, let alone a championship one, and got regular games he would have developed more than he has done.

He is a victim of being too good for the reserves but also not good enough for a first team slot.

I thought the exact same thing when I seen the news yesterday, certainly missed out with this one.
