Thank you for posting this. What a wonderful human being this man is. I expect his star to rise even more under Conte and for Spurs to have a great season.

Great read, as much as I do t like some of his on field antics, off the field he seems like a top bloke

This is guys. Don't believe the media and look beneath the cover.

This guy, Richy, will thrive under Conte and he will be moulded into a great striker. Watch this space.

No worries. Goes to show how some media give one sided views on players.

Let me guess:
Family living in poverty
Had to travel miles to play a game
Parent died when he was young
Rejected by some clubs
Wore someone else's boots because he couldn't afford his own
Was like a parent to his younger siblings
Close to being drawn into a life of crime
Football saved him
Now he is giving back to his community.
The PR X factor sob story of every Brazilian footballer (and South American, and African, and half of the English players etc etc)

Still an utter caaant on the pitch, whose antics contributed to much of Evertons problems with his play acting, strops and sulks often breaking up Everton pressure.

posted on 3/7/22

People also do not give him enough credit for the amount of work he does on and off the ball. He has great energy and is relentless when chasing down opponents.
Has a tremendous amount of skill and certainly knows where the goal is. Yes he has a bit of a dark side, but I think we need someone like that, for too long we have appeared as a soft touch. Now we have Romero, Bentancur, Bissouma and Richarilson which will give us a very strong aggressive depth which will allow players like Son, Kane, Perisic and Kulu to flourish even more.

I'd agree GG. I don't get all the negativity from oppo fans on the quality of the player....unlikeable yes, so clearly a player who triggers all fans other than his own. But he has real quality. Not world class for sure but when you think of his attributes then Conte really has a lot to work with and we have seen how Conte has got a lot more out of a lot of our players in his short time at the club . I think he will thrive under Conte and with better team mates.

There's plenty of players he wants to shift out he hasn't improved. Conte also has a very mixed history with transfers. I think oppo fans just find it funny how a 60m striker from a team nearly relegated is all of a sudden amazing now spurs have signed him.

It's also the fact spurs have splashed so much cash on a guy who doesn't get in the starting 11, when there are so many areas of the team that need serious investment.

Surely a 60m cb would have been better and a loan from somewhere for cover for up top? Just has hints of when Conte wasted 200m at Chelsea on utter dross.

Eh? Bissouma was great business. Perisic will do for a season if he can handle the pace of the PL. Typical conte signing tho, very shirt term. Kinda like when he signed ashley 'bird 5hit' young for Inter.

I just think 150m and spending 60m on richarlison, talk of a championship rb and a barca reject on loan at CB is hardly going to worry opposition. Just pray the lingaard rumours aren't true 😂

posted on 3/7/22

75m for a Southampton player, a championship lb and a Chelsea reject didn't worry opposition when Liverpool brought them in. Won the cl final the next season

And no I'm not saying that the same is going to happen for us before somebody jumps on that. Just that you're looking at things in an overly simplistic way

What an incredibly cynical view. I'm thankful I don't think like this. By the sounds of it you didn't actually read the article.

Everton struggled despite the many goals and assists he got for them, not because of him. Without Richarlison Everton would probably be looking forward to Championship football next season.

Amuses me how Spurs spend big on another striker and opposition fans say waste of money. When Liverpool, City, Chelsea spend big on strikers it is apparently building a squad to challenge for trophies.

So are you saying that the BBC made it up, or that it's true but has no value?

posted on 3/7/22

Opposition fans a worried shieteless at what Conte might be able to achieve next season with the squad we are building, hence why they are all pulling the Richarlison signing to bits. The fact is, Richarlison has not been playing for a media darling club, so his performances have gone under the radar somewhat.

What he is, is a versatile hard working forward who knows where the goal is, and who almost single handed kept his previous club in the PL.

These mug fans are either extremely bitter or wouldnt know a good footballer if he bit them on the arce.
