I guess it depends what your criteria for welcoming a signing are. Some can't get enthusiastic unless the it's a 'plug and play' transfer that will go straight into the first team and immediately making us better. Some of us, on the other hand, welcome promising, young players who play positive and aggressive football, and we look forward to watching them grow into the team and hopefully realise their potential.

I'd probably be more excited if I knew more of Ten Hag or if we had a season under him already.

Right now, such is the state of the club, I sit here wondering if we're left with another player the next manager doesn't want in 2 years.

Shaw is one I have a lot of hope for in ETH system. One of our best on the ball when it comes to short interchanges, and when he wants to he is decent going forward.

They'll be dancing in the streets of Kuala Lumpur with this news.

I mean, he goes down easily twice in that video, but clearly having drawn the foul and decided it's better to take the free kick than try to wriggle away with the ball.

Hopefully we can get a right back with a similar profile.

This appears to be a good signing although not in an area that had been identified by the fans as one of the more likely for an upgrade.

He's very left footed. The kind of player who prefers a technically harder outside of the boot pass with his left than side-foot it with his right.
