Think he's burnt his bridges.

However, if he did buy in he'd be a great addition to the squad. Especially as a bench option when we're struggling to break down a team.

I reckon he'll be in the squad this season just because we won't find even a loan for him. He might get some cup games because of that but it'd be very hard for him to win Conte over now I think

If he can get through a Conte preseason without moaning so much we deport him fair enough. The talent is certainly there.

See a few of you boys say he’s talented. I’ve never really see him stand out at all. What’s his actual skill set?

Sham of a footballer, let's none of us pretend he cares or can help us this season

He had that one game when he arrived when he looked like a proper player then proceeded to look lazy/unfit for months. Then an individual in a team for a while.

I hold out very little hope for him, he seems the antithesis of a Conte player.

Incredible dribbler and passer. From a purely technical perspective he's genuinely one of the best in the world at progressing the ball and he can do that whilst create chances at a solid rate for a number 8 because of the technical quality

It is tragic for the club that Spurs are still having to pay this complete waster so much money to do absolutely nothing.

May as well try to utilise him if only as a 15 minute sub from time to time.

It is laughable to say he is the best in the world at anything. If that was the case he would have had dozens of clubs coming in for him. As it stand he has zero.

He`s bone idle and seemingly happy to be on easy street picking up his massively over inflated wages.

It is highly unlikely he will change, Conte will be planning a squad without him and the only question is who can we dump him on.

I reckon we will be stuck with him draining wages and won`t be surprised if we pay up his contract eventually. He`s got 2 more years which is around £20m in wages (if you believe the rumours of how much he is being paid).

Probably the worst signing in our history when you consider what the whole package cost.

This video showcases everything he could be, if only he put the effort in.

Has got the potential to be a very fine player, just isn’t seeming to click for him. Could be attitude, could be mental, could be work ethic, could be the PL/England, or a combo of all. On paper at his age and value he’s a great asset, but I seriously doubt there’s any way back at THFC under Conte, not sure where he’d fit in our 11 anymore.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What stands out for me is the contrast of him in possession and out of it.

With the ball at his feet, he's alive, energetic, quick thinking, skillful and agile.

Without the ball he lumbers around like he's just done a marathon wearing a deep sea divers suit.

I think a lot of this is body language, not actual fatigue or anything. He'll do it in the first 10 minutes. It's just how he is.

Yeah he has the worst body language of any player I can think of. He looks knackered from minute one. Hands always on his knees/hips.

Very true but body language often reflects state of mind. I dont think he's lazy, per se. It just doesnt come naturally to him ...but again, a mindset thing. Some people are able to completely change their outlook and approach to things through hard work...i just think with him on 200k a week or whatever, he's too comfortable to really take himself out of his comfort zone.

Him and Dele were great against Liverpool when we went for it

I'd be interested to see what kind of shape he's come back to pre season in.

I'd like to think so .....but I don't think he's capable of putting in the kind of work Conte will demand.

He's all set to repeat Eriksen's story at Inter. Deemed a luxury and not disciplined enough. Comes in to play a key part in us winning the league.

I dunno about worst signing ever. He was actually pretty good for a season under Mourinho of all people.

Don't think he has any interest in playing for Spurs though, but you have to consider he played for, what, 4 or 5 different managers (Pochettino, Mourinho, Mason, Nuno, Conte?) having moved to Spurs on the promise of a Pochettino project, and then ending up living in a new country through covid.

Not making excuses as such, but I don't think the above helped him settle and he doesn't seem the most adaptable in the first place.

Nah five managers cannot all be wrong. He could not command a regular place under any of them. And it is very telling that not one club has come in for him.

200k a week and lazy. Going to hard work shifting hm. He's like pogba mk 2. So much talent but just no motivation. As good as he is u have to be insanely talented for your team to carry u when u don't have the ball, and few teams accommodate that nowadays.

How he is the joint top earner is mental.

From an ITK on Twitter 😂😂😂 Fatguy..never change

For the many of us hoping Ndombele impresses in pre-season and revives his career.

His pre-season fitness test results were absolutely horrendous 😬

I don't know what the process is on how or if that can be fixed but it's not a great start
