In fairness I’m being playful with my tone but I do 100% mean what I say. There is a huge Asian population in Sydney and almost to a man, they’re wearing masks on trains and pretty much anywhere you’d think a mask would be important. I respect that level of intelligence. (To be clear, I always wear a mask so I’m not being a hypocrite).
As for your other question, I’m not sure what is better out of individuality or collective responsibility but I’m sure as the century goes on one of those will dominate the other and perhaps it’s time to see how that works out for the world
So the takeaway here is that Asians are smart

Not sure it is society based any more than other places. China for instance has many cases of people, including children dying on roads after being run over and then being ignored.
The mask thing is one thing, just like the roads thing above.
Different cultures have their good, their bad, their mad. Asia as mentioned has billions of people in it and it's vastly different region to region
Tbf when you think about it the Asian mask model is very sensible. Even after everything that's happened you can't afford to take a day off for a cold at a lot of places, so you have to be a hero and come into work. In those instances or generally being on public transit during the winter, it makes so much sense to mask up.
I still do it in certain situations, but not to the same extent I was.
I have COVID now. It's not fun.

Yeah fair play to them. This pandemic has just highlighted how dumb a majority are. Not saying don't get on with life but common sense doesn't have to stop. Busy place? Mask the feck up ffs.

Yep, Ace has a point.
We should remove speed limits, traffic lights and seatbelt requirements, as well as the need for people to take driving tests; repeal all building regs and let people knock up what they want; remove age limits on firework sales; allow farmers to feed cattle their dead relatives; moonshine? bring it on; legalise gun, hand grenade and bazooka ownership; and bin the NHS.
People die every minute of every day. Get over it.

Tbf when you think about it the Asian mask model is very sensible.
