Not really..if you check the dates..the players only get 1 week before and 1 week after to get settled for Season. this has never been done before in the history of modern world cups. usually World Cups start at least 4 weeks after the end of a season and ends 4 weeks before the start of the next one.

Most definitely, I think this is why we have paid more attention to back room staff (performance and sports science) this season. Players will need to be monitored even closer.

Agreed. Said this a while ago. If ever there was going to be another leciester scenario, this season could be the one. Maybe not quite that level of surprise but would I he overly suprised if say for example yourselves made a challenge, no I wouldnt.
From my own teams point of view it on paper should help us. From our strongest 11 Robertson diaz and salah wont be going at all. Allisson, trent, konate, fabinho, thiago henderson and nunez dont start for their countries. Its only really vvd.
Be interseting to see how it all plays out.

The best thing to do is cancel the competion!..
Has there ever been a Worldcup outcry like there has been against this one?..
A Worldcup that shouldn't take place and not because off the time off year!..

It’s crazy. Maybe it works for Leagues that usually have a winter break but the Premier League doesn’t so the timings will be detrimental to English Clubs which for sure will then affect the Domestic and European Cup performances and the debate will rage on well into 2023.

I don't think it'll make a bit of difference to who finishes where. Only if key players get injured in the actual tournament.

It’s going to be intriguing either way. I’m just glad we building a decent squad.
I think this could work in Spurs' favour. Anything that disrupts the machine like winning runs that City and Liverpool have put together the last couple of years is a good thing for us. I'm confident Spurs will challenge for the title this season; however there's a big difference between being in the mix and actually winning it. The chaos of the winter world cup might just be what we need to finally win the league again.
