It's a strange one this.
If he wants to leave because we're not what we should be then I think that's fair enough. There's no point hanging your hat on someone who may be thinking he's wasting a season in the twilight of his career. It also gets us closer to what ETH wants I'd say as well.
If he does stay though and gives it 100% that's fine by me too. I must admit I did get excited when he signed last year even though I thought before then it wasn't the greatest idea.
So what we are saying is that we hope he stays if he stays but hope he goes if he goes? Has anyone seem him play?
When everyone else in the squad not named Varane, DDG and Sancho (VDB and Dalot tolerable as squad players) are replaced with proper footballers and a non puppet manager is incharge then the discussion on whether CR7 leaving is "right for the club" can begin. But while he's one of the few people in this club that have standards feck that.
It's quite amazing that fully grown adults can look at Maguire, Shaw, AVB, McFred, Elanga and Bruno yet come to the conclusion the problem in the team is Ronaldo. Some of you need some serious medical attention.

I think he we all got a bit caught up in it.
I get why he wants to leave but it’s can’t see him winning a big European league again. The CL is more of a lottery but I’d still be surprised if he wins that again as a regular starter.
Seems odd considering there's no obvious move for him. Chelsea?

Yep, probably Chelsea. He's not going to announce he wants to leave with nowhere to go to.
Reckon it's been on the cards since the end of the season. It's not suddenly dawned on Ronaldo that we aren't going to be in the CL next season.
The Chelsea takeover going through has probably been the catalyst for this. Had it gone through sooner then I reckon he'd already have gone there.

Ok anne ziety. Sancho had about 5 good games last season,
I find it refreshing we aren't begging him to stay like we did we the dabber. Don't want to be here? Off you f**k then.
No player is bigger than this great club. Never will be.

I’d let him go to Chelsea.
Him going best for everyone
What an idiot!!!
He could go to Munich for a year and win the league then end at sporting. Would avoid tarnishing his rep as an united legend. Money shouldn't be a factor now bit two more countries titles sure would be a fairytale ending. He could even go to the US at 40 the shape the guys in. Marketing alone he'd be worth it
Yea let him be the grenade in their dressing room
Interestingly someone uploaded a video last night on social media showing Ronaldo creating dozens of goalscoring chances last season that others messed up. So it wasn’t just goals that he brought to the side. I’m a million percent fine if he wants to go but we will suffer if not replaced properly.

Munich wouldn’t sign him imo.
Chelsea are favourites but apparently Napoli are an option. I kinda wanna see him go to Roma and see how he and Jose do. Maybe we could get Tammy as part of the deal

Scholay - you and I feel the same way about Ronaldo being with us, as opposed to many on here. My question to you is: if you knew for a fact that he didn’t want to be here anymore, would you still keep him?
My answer to that would be that I don’t want anyone here that doesn’t want to be. But if there is a player that I can bank on to be professional, give his all and produce it is Cristiano Ronaldo

I’d be surprised if that happened as Benzema is now better and it’s unlike they would work well together at this stage of their careers.
