That squad effectively ends the Leeds careers of
Costa / Casilla / Poveda / McCalmont

I’ll say again, let’s get Charlie Taylor or Alioski back.
You didn’t mention Raph not going…I’m starting to think he’ll go on a season loan to Barca with a view to a permanent move for feck all next summer.

Though he isn't quite at the required grade, McCalmont shouldn't be grouped with the other three and maybe Shackleton should.

Shackleton is listed as a loan to Millwall. Leeds career isnt ended. He could come back better for game time and challenge yet

McCalmont is listed with the other 3 due to age. Anyone else not going is 20 years of age and lower and still working to get nearer the first team.

At 22 McCalmont joins Poveda (22), Casilla (34) and Costa (28) as the more "senior aged players" with no apparent future at the club now.

Shackleton is same age as Poveda and McCalmont, reason why he is being lined up for the move to Milwall is he is not to give him game time but because he is considered not good enough for the main group.
How is his career at Leeds not ended? He has made 68 appearances and has failed to show sufficient improvement, just like Poveda and Costa.
He is given the benefit of the doubt because he is a Leeds boy, I am not know for being a sentimentalist.

I would though like to have seen Max Dean going, are they looking for a loan club for him.
Interesting to see 18 year old Harry Christie going but not 19 year old Dani Van Den Heuval.

Firpo has a knock and will not be risked. Sensible.

Actually might do us a favour, not sure Leif Davis is good enough.

I wonder if the players like this type of tour? I get the branding and exposure aspect, I’ve been to some of these type games and always leave disappointed…tickets are not cheap either! I just don’t see how this helps the players who are constantly complaining of long seasons, tiredness, and overuse muscle injuries.

It might make them reconsider getting another left back if Davis isn't up to it.

Some of our players may not be jabbed either, which would prevent them going to Oz

There's a couple of stories/reports/fiction out and about that we're looking at Stoke's young left back. Leeds United should make a ceramic figurine set of Firpo & Bamford and sell them. Brittle Brothers.

Max Dean is injured

Don't think we should read oo much into young players not going. Joseph, Dean, McGurk etc in positions where we have plenty of options. Club clearly wanted to take a limited number of players, and probably there will be some u23 fixtures here whilst they are away.

Hearing that Bate is going out on loan this season, also. Dean was linked with Harrgate early in the window. McKinstry maybe going out on loan, too. Exciting that we might be loaning out players to develop, instead of just because the manager has written them off. Shame I have to invest myself in Millwall's season, though.

I think Shack can still have a future if he gets regular game time and builds up his physicality out on loan. Especialy if the worst happens and we get relegated this season.

Cresser off the mark for Millwall, probably a header from a corner.
