I can't help but feel that some of our players don't have the personality to play their natural game when Ronaldo is on the pitch. I'm looking at the likes of Sancho, Rashford and even Fernandes. I mean it can be quite intimidating to play alongside such a character in Ronaldo, especially when you know you'll get an earful if you don't pass to him.
Genuinely believe that some of these players will feel far more at ease if Ronaldo isn't on the pitch. Having said that, maybe it's time these players grow a pair and understand that to get to the top, you can't hide.

If we can get Martial working harder (and there were signs yesterday) then Martial. Don't think at this stage of his career that Ronaldo is going to adapt his game too much to work harder and press more from the front that EtH will want.
Ronaldo would be the perfect impact sub, but ego and status is not going to allow that to happen.

I can't help but feel that some of our players don't have the personality to play their natural game when Ronaldo is on the pitch. I'm looking at the likes of Sancho, Rashford and even Fernandes. I mean it can be quite intimidating to play alongside such a character in Ronaldo, especially when you know you'll get an earful if you don't pass to him.

If we can get Martial working harder (and there were signs yesterday) then Martial. Don't think at this stage of his career that Ronaldo is going to adapt his game too much to work harder and press more from the front that EtH will want.
Ronaldo would be the perfect impact sub, but ego and status is not going to allow that to happen.

Yeah I think our only hope was Chelsea and the new owner wanting to make some kind of statement signing but Tuchel probably doesn't want him.
No way Napoli can afford his wages and no one else seems to want him or afford him which it totally understandable.
I think if that happens Ronaldo is professional enough to deal with it, but it'll be interesting to see how EtH uses him. I wonder where he'll end up next season, might be hard for him to accept he either isn't going to get anywhere near the wage he expects or play for a top side.

I think if that happens Ronaldo is professional enough to deal with it, but it'll be interesting to see how EtH uses him. I wonder where he'll end up next season, might be hard for him to accept he either isn't going to get anywhere near the wage he expects or play for a top side.

I genuinely don't think this is much to do with wages for him, I believe it is more so just playing in champs league and making sure he adds to his already ridiculous goal tally. Ronaldo knows he can go Qatar or America at even 40 and make loads of money
