Love Roy but this all stemmed from him. Going 20(22) in a T20 is criminal.
He needs dropping until he rediscovers his form.

I'd give him this series at least to try and rediscover. But he is seriously out of touch I agree

Roy's trouble is he doesn't come in with the right mindset...in his head he's going to be out next ball
We were a shoddy mess last night...as bad as they were in Bristol
Salt should come in for Roy and Bairstow should open. The bowling a problem. Medium paced trundlers and ordinary spin bowlers too easy to cart all over. Plus the new coach doesn't seem to be able to inspire the players.
Willey bowls De Kock for 0.
Need to keep them under 180
Amazingly Jason Roy has lasted two overs
This white ball team has gone to shiiiit. Was it Morgan's captaincy keeping it together?
Roy needs to be dropped now. Bring Salt in.
Roy gone as well, for 17. His form is terrible. 33-2 in the 6th over.
Great catch by Stubbs, Moeen gone.
Utter pile of steaming dog poo today
Utter Fackin omnishambles
All out for 101. Very poor indeed.
What a shower of shiiit. That was pathetic!

Don't think it's as simple as Morgan retiring, although Buttler's captaincy has so far been very inconsistent.
Half the first choice bowling attack are all injured in Woakes, Wood and Archer, so we're letting teams get 20/30 more runs than usual, and ironically they're also better batters than their replacements.
Then you have the top 6 who all look in shocking form outside of Buttler and Bairstow, which you can't really put down to the captaincy as it made sense why Buttler wouldn't want to rock the boat too much just yet.
Would deffo drop Roy for Salt though and I'd be tempted to drop one of Mo or Curran for Brook too for an extra batter as we really don't need 7 bowling options in my opinion.
Roy needs dropping....he also needs coaching from an "in his head" perspective...he has the talent, but goes out wondering which ball will get him out, & not which balls can I smash....far too stressy & fidgety
Robinson is back in the Test squad for the first two matches.
Ben Stokes (Durham) captain
James Anderson (Lancashire)
Jonathan Bairstow (Yorkshire)
Stuart Broad (Nottinghamshire)
Harry Brook (Yorkshire)
Zak Crawley (Kent)
Ben Foakes (Surrey)
Jack Leach (Somerset)
Alex Lees (Durham)
Craig Overton (Somerset)
Matthew Potts (Durham)
Ollie Pope (Surrey)
Ollie Robinson (Sussex)
Joe Root (Yorkshire).
Does Crawley have Rob Key's nude photos?
