I think a lot of Celtic fans would agree with you. But I think, putting him with a player like CCV is the perfect pairing and would let him show his game which is more technical.

Not at all. We aren’t blessed with good defenders. CCV and CJ are easily the two best!
As good as last season was there was also glaring issues with the team structure and it’s really worrying that Ange hasn’t addressed these. I’ve seen the majority of Celtic fans say it’s because of how we play and we almost have to accept that teams will be able to counter us etc….but it’s more than that, the team lack any kind of defensive structure or awareness. Even when we are ‘set’ defensively we are still too easy to move around and play through.
I must admit that is a concern for me. We are far too open at the back and easy to counter attack. Good teams will play through us. This sweeper keeper gives me the fear!

Well it was a foul but the Legia fans ref'ing the game were shoulder shrugging. You might expect VAR to discount in a real game? Then Welsh had made a run into their box and no cant bothered covering for him so CCV was 1:1 under a high ball which almost never happens in real games. I noticed he quietly gave that guy a right aly sore one about 5 minutes later just before he was hooked

I am sure the new guy will be pushed right up the park as well. Celtic will always score goals but it’s good to see their own fans a wee bit frustrated at how open they are at the back.
We look to have added a wee bit of variety, pace and hopefully quality in our attack so 🤞
Wouldn’t rule out a 4-4 classic this season 😳

You can see how exposed we are when teams hit us on the counter attack. Our full backs are caught too far up the park and our CD’s are trying, and losing, to cover.

Can imagine Rabbi Matondo will be looking forward to the OF games. Starfelt having to come out wide and deal with him 1 on 1 because Greg Taylor is away Angeballing up the park.

Greg Taylor was a multi million pound signing was he not?
I am sure the new guy will be pushed right up the park as well. Celtic will always score goals but it’s good to see their own fans a wee bit frustrated at how open they are at the back.
We look to have added a wee bit of variety, pace and hopefully quality in our attack so 🤞
Wouldn’t rule out a 4-4 classic this season 😳
