Agreed. It's weird how so many people actually don't seem to realise this.

Chelsea are nothing out of the ordinary now.

In fact, I read a few days ago that they're actually still over £1bn in debt to Roman. Even though these are so-called 'friendly loans', I don't think their new owners are going to want to make that debt worse. Chelsea's financial future looks bleak.

I read the other day that they now intend to redevelop their stadium stand by stand.

Now my understanding was that the last time they talked of this (remember the image that looked like the outside was made of matchsticks) they had to move the pitch downwards in order to get the 60k they wanted.

If that is no longer the case then presumably their new build will be at a greatly reduced capacity from the original plans.

CFC will be livid.

Yep.

I think part of the reason their own fans are dejected is that they play very dull football, which fans will accept if you're winning, but Chelsea's winning days look long gone. They don't really have anything to look forward to anymore.
