I don’t think you can force people to wear anything. What if it goes against someone’s religion?
Who wins the “morale” argument then?
I'd be pretty sure when they sign their contracts they'd know what they could be wearing on their shirts. Therefore, I'd be disappointed if they didn't wear it.
You cant force anyone to do something they dont want to do.
Maybe the club should've interacted with the squad before simply announcing what they we're going to try and make people do?
you cannot force a political ideology on people.
Regardless of whether I agree or disagree.
what your doing here is infringing on peoples free speech rights.
Seems like people in this world want hate/dislike to now be a crime. You are allowed to not like something or disagree with something.

Stopping sportsmen from playing because of their beliefs seems a bit wrong to me. Why should anyone be forced to wear a symbol of something they don't agree with.
Similar to the poppy police attacking people for not wearing the poppy, no-one should be forced to accept homosexuality as normal or acceptable.

if they dawn the shirts then the club is their voice as the audience only see that, the players cannot give their stance they are seen but not heard. If you take away that voice and force another upon them then they lose their freedom of free speech for whatever instance that it takes place.

The problem is that they do not accept it based on their erroneous interpretation of religious texts.
Where do we draw the line then? A secular society should protect everyone, including religious people but not at the expense of others rights.

That's as ridiculous as not accepting black people, people with ginger hair, accepting women etc. I'm pretty sure people are born gay, they don't choose to be, same as the other examples I mentioned.

Paedophiles say they are born that way. Murder is one of the most natural human instincts. Neither is acceptable to the majority of us.
Many people see homosexuality as a big a crime as either of those. And if that belief is kept private and they don't push hate or act on it then why should they not be allowed their belief? Why should they be forced to wear a symbol of something they are against?
Just let the players who don’t wanna wear it do so, then the whole world can see who the homophobes are so we can all laugh at them.

People being homosexual doesn't hurt anyone else though. Murder and paedophilia does.
I don't see the need in having to have black rights months, or pride carnivals etc. It'd be nice if we lived in a world where people didn't need to do all of that, everyone just got along with each other however they're born without any groups being needed to be put on a pedestal or acknowledged any more or less than any other groups. Unfortunately we live in a time where we still need to acknowledge the rights of others, where really we shouldn't need to anymore. If players choose to refuse to acknowledge homosexuality, race, gender etc. Then they should probably be released from the club
