I think Liverpool are being over rated on here - they lost to RB Salzburg last night, failed to score.
Klopps dropped a huge plop in signing Darwin no goals
3rd at best
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They've lost their best player and replaced him with Andy Caroll.
Think they'll finish 4th
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You think Mane is better than Salah do ya?
Actually Bournemouth instead of Brentford.
I think Arsenal could surprise a few. They've got rid of all the bad eggs, signed some experience to a young side and I feel will be stronger this season. 4th could be possible if something goes wrong at Chelsea and it kind of feels like something is going wrong at Chelsea.
I get why people will predict us to fall off a little with the loss of Mane, but why are people not applying that same logic to City who have lost Sterling, Jesus and Fernandinho?
I know Haaland is world class but that's still 3 massive players they've lost and there's no guarantee he'll hit the ground running.

Tbf I dont think Fernandinho was that big a player for them anymore. Rodri has stepped up to replace him.
Jesus was a good player for them but never really a key player. I think Haaland alone can score as many as Jesus and Sterling did. He has everything in his locker to succeed and Grealish will surely be better in season #2.

Because city didn’t sign Darwin Nukaku.
Tbf both teams could drop off this season a bit. Especially with the disruption of the world cup.

Jesus and Sterling I agree, when the games start coming thick and fast they were brilliant squad players to have. Last seasons Fernandinho isn't a huge loss though.

Fernandinho while still useful was little more than a bit part player.
Sterling and Jesus while very good players were arguably not in their best XI for the past 2 seasons. That’s not to say they aren’t losses though.
Mane has been one of Liverpools best players for about 5 years and one of the first names on the team sheet.
That’s why people aren’t applying the same logic.
Sterling started 23 Prem games last season and Jesus 21. Both made 7 sub appearances. Fernadinho helped fill in at the back as did Zinchenko. They'll be a loss for sure imo.
I expect them to do some more business though.
Fernandinho started 10 and made 9 sub appearances. Zinchenko also started 10 Prem games.

They still scored a combined 30 goals last season though.
Stats alone aren't everything but losing 30 goals from all comps is a fair chunk to make up.
Problem for City I think will be the overturn of players. It’s almost become like clockwork that City’s signings don’t hit it off in their first season. They’ll still have enough quality to be the team to be in the league, but I’d be surprised if they are as consistent as they were last season.
*and kick on in the second

They’ll be a loss but none were as key as Mane imo. Time will tell I guess.
If they get Cucurella they’ve upgraded on at least 3 of the 4 players they’ve lost which is a little worrying for the rest.
I think Robb is right about Grealish fwiw. I don't think he actually played that badly but his numbers were poor. He may kick on and that would be a massive plus for City.
The thing about City is I really can't see them getting many more points than last year.
93 points is still a staggering points tally, only achieved a handful of times in the past (and never by United despite decades of dominance).
