Kyogo or GG ?

cant believe this is an actual genuine debate , GG looked like a fcking turkey and he still is a bit brash in his game play but hes clearly a box player and with service will provide

We've great options in most positions, and certainly a night and day improvement from the utter sh1tshow Ange inherited. Huge strides forwards really.

We don't have a genuine DM worthy of the name though, and we badly need one, at least for the CL. Time will tell if Bernie the Bolt is the solution we've been waiting for at LB, but at least he's another option in that position.

his perfromances in preseason have shown good and bad in him , hes gave the ball away quite a bit and has taken some unnecessary risks - but you can see the offset , hes exciting going forward and has blistering pace
theres a bit of stability in Taylor , in that hes more experienced and consistent
the issue is hes not that good overall

GG had a wobbly start and his style of play isn't as naturally attractive as Kyogo's, but he showed his value through the second half of the season. Better stats than Kyogo and he can rightfully claim to be your main man up front, though Kyogo makes a good backup.

I think you'll struggle more if Abada goes out of the team than if either of GG or Kyogo does.

not sure about that but Abada does have a great nack of drifting in behind the central defender

if you watch celtic , Ange play style is pretty simple
quick restarts at any situation and whenever the oppertunity is there he instructs them to cross first time- everytime - they dont look up and wait and then play it , it gets fired across immediately by the wingers and fullbacks and its up to others to be there.

Abada benefits from that style , but he can be quite frustrating at times , if he cant beat the man for pace

I would play Kyogo at all costs. He’s pure football class. We should feel blessed to have his little Japanese feet on our pitch

the only frustrating thing about watching Jota is the stewards always telling you to put yer cawck away

Not sure of any of that. Stats are only half the story and if you are the guy that comes on to close games out when defenders are tired then, like Roofe, they can be misleading. Or the guy that gets played by default due to Kyogo hammy.

I think Ange is managing Abada who is still young and one of our other hammys last season.

Don't think it is Ange's formation but the wee man buzzing about GG running onto knock ons and dragging the other CB all over the place is potentially nhugg worthy.

I think he would use it if we needed to - as you say they look like the would dovetail nicely

Think my Dons supporting mates would take that right now.

On my earlier point about badly needing a DM, I think that's doubly necessary now that we seem to be going down the route of having wee, rapid, offensively-minded FBs on BOTH sides of the park ... assuming that Bernie and JJ become the natural first choices. Hopefully we've more business to be done yet on that front, and a few more deadwood out the door as well.

Celtic are actually rubbish, All their players are rubbish, The manager is rubbish. People are getting kidded on.

Aberdeen will probably win on Sunday and Rangers will win the league.

That's apparently more or less what I said last season.

My tips

Hatate and Abada are two I expect will tear it up this season. Think Jenz will pleasantly surprise us as well, anyway let's see where we are between now and Christmas before we punt for player of the year, too many decent options to decide atm, pleasingly so.

Good, Johnson needs to experience a new environment. He has had many chances at Celtic and failed each time.

[Anthony Joseph] Celtic have rejected a bid from Toulouse for defender Stephen Welsh.

It’s understood the fresh offer was for a season-long loan with an option to buy in the region of £3.5m, plus add-ons. Celtic don't want to sell him as he is part of their first team plans.
