I didn't know that Bolton had a pride week. I thought all that was down south. Or in California, New York and other large cities. A little town like Bolton? That's news to me.

They say there's one in every village these days.

IE gave us a clue! saying there's no B team outing next week. But there is one the following week.

All you have to do is work out, when, where, against who and what time the kick-off is.

Big day tomorrow.

There's lots to prepare and think about, for the first home game of the season.

- Getting three points.
- We've never beaten Wycombe have we.
- Don't forget your plastic.
- Make sure you have enough money on the plastic.
- Will you get a brew or end up in a queue.
- Are you slim enough to fit into the fan zone.
- Don't spend too much and end up overdrawn, not now interest rates are at Maggie levels.
- Crashes on the roads, crashes on the computers.
- How much cash to take just in case.
- Let the train take the strain, clunk click and have a parking eye or will the wheels on the bus go round and round.

Who'd have thought going to the match could become so stressful.

Sometimes being thousands of miles away has its advantages. iFollow and ice cream is all set here.
That just leaves me with wondering if tomorrow will be the day we beat Wycombe and bag the three points.

With work and having to be somewhere after the match it's a tight schedule tomorrow. Matchbus £7 single or return no thank you an hour all round the houses and going half a mile over speed bumps not pleasant on the top deck. Park up and a walk down, expect to be more busy for residents. Won't need a card as won't be spending anything. Will have a nosy how well or not the fanzone or kiosks are going. Really can't see the fanzone working in the middle of the winter. Why don't they have it inside where it used to be or don't they want riffraff in there?

Looks like the low cost of the season tickets will be paid for by all these extra matchday costs.

In the Good Olde Days, we'd finish work Saturday lunch time. Head straight to the pub for a pre match pie and a pint.
After leaving the pub we'd walk down Manny Road singing on our way to the match. Grab a pint in the ground, take it onto the terrace to stand in our usual spot.

What happened?
Sky happened, that's what happened.

I've got my ticket in. No spare tickets on sale for the Lofthouse Lower at all. So should be a decent turn out.

I'll be going early via the train - popping to the fanzone for the early kick off - then I'll be hanging about for the train back as the fanzone re-opens at 5 for a bit.

Was going to get the bus back but £7 is steep. Just goes to show how subsidised busses used to be by the club back in the day.

You will all be OK when you get your bus passes. I have mine but I haven't used it yet. it's tucked into my wallet just in case. I will invest £10 in a rail and tram pass in case I decide to have the odd trip to Manchester. I haven't driven into the centre for some years now I usually get the train if we go to the theatre so I may as well spend the tenner and save some money.

As for the fan zone, it will be good to be able to take money from the away fans. They can raise the shortfall in the season ticket prices.

A tough game tomorrow but we are at home and hopefully we can take all three points to put a dent into the opposition's promotion chances.
