Wolfie, if he hadn't the striker would. You can't blame ait for that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ait Nouri arrived behind the attacker where he clearly should have been ahead of him. Terrible defending. Who got the final touch is irrelevant, the damage was done by his poor positioning

I love how no goal is ever just well played anymore. Always someones fault. Forward got ahead of Ait-Nouri like any good striker should do when anticipating a cross but Ait-Nouri still recovers and gets to the cross first.

Jonny was far worse for that goal, yards behind the play.

We are becoming your bogey side, aren’t we?

Anyway, we can blame mistakes all day, the big issue is the pathetic lack of depth which was quite apparent today.

We tend to struggle against crap sides weirdly

Kind of amusing that Wolfie has been slating any negativity all summer but is the first to turn on the team, tactics etc

If something big doesn't happen in the rest of the transfer window, I fear for rest of the season.
Fosun seem to be standing back and letting the club go to ruin.

Not at all. I have always preferred 3 at the back, but accept that if Bruno wants 4 then it's his choice.

I'm not turning on the team either. I'm merely pointing out that your hero was at fault for both the goals. Overall I thought we played well, but again, we are not putting away the chances we get. And that's got nothing to do with the depth of our squad.

On the other hand, you will always complain about the lack of transfers. Don't you think that they are trying to recruit? We ALL agree that there is a need for more players, but you can't just wave a wand.

Tell you what, there's an island up for sale off the coast of Isle of Arran. As you are always on the move, check it out, it has many species of birds and will only put you back about $400,000. There, you can scream from the top of the lighthouse.

Absolute rubbish. The defender has to stay goal side of the attacker otherwise goals like that would happen from every cross. Ait Nouri recovered well and put the ball in the net for him

Unlike Ait Nouri, Jonny was goalside of the player he was marking so he was completely up with the play. He should be expected to mark Bamford too?

Why is Ait-Nouri my hero by the way?

He is one of our best players and out of every player currently at the club he is going to have the biggest/best career. There is a reason all the biggest clubs in footy are keeping tabs on him.

Apparently Brunos post game comments. Impossible to argue though.

Also Guedes allegedly in the UK and linked with us

West Ham evidently keen to sign Conor Coady with Moyes set to go with 5 at the back this season.

And talk from Italy that Wolves have offered free agent Belotti a three year contract. I think he would be a fabulous signing

posted on 6/8/22

Ait-Nouri has got a lot to learn and if Semedo was fit, I'm not sure he'd start.

If Coady does leave, then I think Bruno is set on a back four.

Belotti would be a great signing. Can't see it though as other clubs will offer more for him wage wise.

West Ham United contacted over possible signing of Conor Coady.

West Ham have been “sounded out” over their interest in Wolves captain Conor Coady, according to talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook.

The 29-year-old is now set to leave Molineux as the club are ready to allow him to leave, causing “uproar” among their fans.

Everton are leading the race to sign him currently, but the Hammers are also in the market for a defender since Nayef Aguerd’s injury, and ExWHUemployee has suggested the Englishman could be a target.

Crook writes: “Everton are pushing hard to sign Conor Coady, with Wolves reluctantly set to allow their captain to leave.

Roma have offered Belotti a contract but Wolves have evidently offered more. Depends if the player wants to remain in Italy

Cinci, I really don't want to get into a debate about Ait-Nouri.

He's a promising player but still has a lot to learn. If you're honest, you banged the drum about him all last season and whereas I agree he could be a good player for us, he still has a lot to learn. He is NOT a LB, period.

The reason we lost today was because of 2 defensive errors and not putting away the chances we had. It had nothing to do with the size of our squad. But you can carry on with your rhetoric as long as you want, but you have face up to reality. Something you said was paramount in your assessment of our club.

posted on 6/8/22

Worth noting at this point that over the last few years, Wolfie has repeatedly misunderstood what a LB is.

Of course but yet Bruno himself said he couldn't make changes but Leeds could.

We would have played a midfield three today and prepped for that until Moutinho got injured late in the week. Because of one single injury we had no choice but to change systems. How can you not acknowledge something so straight forward.

You could see we had tired legs as the game went on, understandable early season but we couldn't make changes as our bench was weaker than piis.

And as for Ait-Nouri, if you were to say he is a better wing back than full back i would agree, but to suggest he is crap etc etc is feckin ridiculous, it has already been pointed out several times that his defensive record was among the better ones in the top five leagues last season ffs.

Really starting to look like Guedes is going to happen.

Not entirely sure he is what we needed and suspect we may see MGW go if he comes. Not a prolific goalscorer but a good player allegedly.

posted on 7/8/22

Guedes is highly rated in Spain and has probably been Valencia’s star man in recent years. He isn’t the centre forward we need but more likely to play behind the striker as part of the 3 in a 4231, probably on the right.

Get him on board plus a good centre forward like Belotti or Ramos and we might have an attack worthy of a more attacking formation

China taking back Taiwan is a given this year. I believe Chinese foreign investment has been scaled back massively in the last two years with this in mind.

Given that all so called privately owned companies are actually owned by the communist government, it’s easy to see what our future holds.
