You want to get GVB to cut out the turn back pass, pass sideways then tip and tap it about around the defence and midfield for 10 passes pronto or you will have a NL type season with Scott Brown anchoring the midfield to pass the ball backwards.

Agree, that type of play is fine IF you are three goals up, but watching that when you are supposed to be attacking is tedious at best, but what do I know

Well I walked miles round Brentford (well about 1 or 2) trying loads of pubs (well about 5, one of which I stopped for a very good burger) to find the game and that embarrassment was the reward I got.

Seeing a lot of Yahoo's confident on social media that we will turn that round. Can't see any evidence to back that up

Considering how scared they looked in the first ten minutes and we did nothing to press home that advantage. They defend tigerishly and are very well organised, then break with great speed. It will take a fortunate early couple of goals for us to turn this one round

Souttar had a mare on Saturday, plus Lundstram played that position in Europe to good effect last year

I've said enough times before it's like we only have one way to play which is to work overloads on the wings before getting a cross in. It's great when it works but when there's no variation its so easy to defend against as the opposition just crowd out that corner of the pitch. Amount of times we see Tav and Borna turning and playing back to the defence because the wings are too crowded to get a cross in should be a sure sign that our tactic has been figured out.

We also missed Kent big time last night, not helped by the fact that Matondo was an empty shirt. Whether that is down to him or tactics, I don't know

It's obvious due to our lack of any creative midfielder we are far to reliant on Kent and Morelos. We can do without one but not both.

A creative central mid should have been our priority (last 3 windows too) but again nothing. I had hoped that was Tillman but he again seems to be more a direct attacker

1. The difference when Yilmaz came on, and the change on mentality/option down that left hand side was instant ...could see how keen he was to get on the ball and get forward.....stark contrast to "I'm scared of the ball coming near me " Barasic

2. Surely we can't play as bad as that again

Decent fee I would think most people up here consider £2-3m?
