One day it will fail to amuse you.

I agree it's a bit daft but it personally doesn't effect me much. I go to home games and usually get a nice 'river' for the away games which don't cost me anything.

Watching PL games which don't involve Utd aren't really that appealing to me either. I probably catch about 5 or 6 full games a season that don't involve United at most.

I'd rather go play golf or go for a day out with the family than watch Fulham Vs Liverpool for example

Watching football games live at the ground is a completely different experience than watching it on a screen in a different environment, which cant be compared. I understand that there are many fans on here who dont get to PL games due to the fact they live abroad or they cant afford it or just dont want to, who might not appreciate this fully. For me football is a spectator sport and not a television programme. As part of the crowd I am part of the event. We saw in lockdown how different football is at the grounds and even on television, without spectators.

That said I have little interest in paying to watch a football match that doesnt involve United (or England). Although I do watch many other games on the TV which I pay the full BT/Sky/Prime subscriptions for, these are mainly United games away and in Europe away. I find watching City and Liverpool games hard these days so maybe just flick to them during the ads in Coronation street to annoy the Mrs..

Never mind that Robb. Yoir girls have just blown a 16-12 lead in the Bowls against England.

Yea, it's good... was pretty cheap when I lived in Portugal... But understand the 3pm ban rule here. The clubs from satellite towns like Burnley and Bolton probably get helped a bit.

Just the sheer price of having sky sports, bt and the occasional amazon games is the real crime.

First up you can watch every game in every competition for about £50 a year if you know how.

Secondly, no need to get up at 3.00am either.

Thirdly, you can't beat going to a live game. The tension starts to build hours before and even though there's only about 3,000 of us at the Etihad, the theatre of it all is brilliant.

Indeed, but if people continue to pay for it, will only go up.

Not even joking but if you walk from Bondi all along the coastline there’s loads of lawn bowls pitches - fields? Dunno what they’re called. It’s a big sport here.

Greens! Aussies love their outdoor games don't they? I may take Bowls up. There was a champion the other day in their 70s!

Baz. It's quite captivating!

I watched a good movie the other day about a British legend that I never knew existed. Called ‘Phantom of the Open’ about Maurice Flitcroft, the ‘worlds worst golfer’. Really good.

Bowls seems quite a lazy sport so it'd suit me.

I've started going to a 'Dad's football' kickabout the last few weeks where everyone is supposed to be over 35. They aren't and some there are young enough to be my sons. I'm still aches and pains two days later! Bowls seems a much gentler option

You'll be delighted to know I've still managed to top score by being an ace goalhanger! Doesn't take much effort that.

And bowls is the only sport I have ever seen somebody win a gold medal whilst smoking a pipe.
