Spurs are much better placed than Chelsea right now. So why should they just go over to SB and roll over. Chelsea's financially doped days are over. Yes they have spent lots pre season, but none of their new players would be anywhere near the current Spurs first team. To believe that Sterling, Koulibaly and Cucurella wouldn't get in our side is just absurd. Then there's the talent they already have in the side - Silva, James, Mount and Kante would stroll into our side.
I admire your optimism Sandy but it borders on delusional at times. Prior to the game where we won 3-1 (I think against Conte) where Alli and Eriksen scored, the last time we won there Lineker got the winner. We have to be rational. That same squad won the European Cup less that two years ago. Plus they're playing us. They ALWAYS turn up against us. To not take a draw and not even accept anything less than 3 points is crazy.
Let's be clear here, we played Southampton. We know what they're like. They're either brilliant or woeful on account of them being so expansive and open. It's not a barometer for our season. We'll know more about where we are and how much we've improved after the Chelsea game. Remember, we had the same starting line up that choked on multiple occasions last season, particularly against Chelsea.
For me there are too many frailties at the back and in midfield to be dreaming of anything other than another tilt at the top 4 and possibly a cup. That's our level. Whether you believe it or not, Chelsea are in front of us. Conte has said as much.

More than likely we will be fighting with Chelsea / arsenal for third and fourth.
I don’t believe we realistically are rivals to Liverpool and city yet, nor do I believe United will be a problem to us this year
So beating Chelsea would be massive 👍

Yup, definitely got the squad now and the manager. Conte is so much more passionate on the touchline than our previous managers. He seems totally involved from the first minute to the last.

Well I don't know who your front three are, as you just said I only watch Spurs. Who are your equivalent to Kane, Son and Kulu. I saw how poor Arsenal were at WHL a few months back, so where is all this new firepower suddenly come from?
