LVG would have probably killed Woodward if he stayed any longer, but maybe that’s what you mean.

I still think sacking LVG was a mistake

Moyes was the wrong guy; I think everyone agrees on that. And appointing Mourinho was a mistake. Wrong guy at the wrong time for the wrong club.

By the time Solskjaer came around, I think the club was just in full on desperation mode, and I don’t think that has changed at all.

GNev is right: now is the time for the Glazers to sell up. It has to be. I just don’t see how this can go on.

I can. The glazers are laughing as they bought into possibly the one industry where logic goes out the window due to the nature of fandom. United supporters will always walk through the front door and buy tickets and shirts and merch. No matter how bad the owners are. There might be the odd protest etc but the supporters by and large are brainwashed by the love of the game. (Not a bad thing per se). If they could think objectively they’d all walk out after 1 min every game and empty out the stadium but the obsession/love affair with football (a good thing) means the Glazers get away with it as the fans care more about supporting the club than binning off the owners.

Part of me things Fergie’s presence is causing us to stick with these wasters for as long as we did. He’s always banged the mantra about giving managers time, and it’s frankly booollocks.

We’d have had more successful seasons and find ourselves in less of as state had we sacked every single one when it was obvious they should have gone.

We’d have saved a load of money even with the pay offs by not pissing the seasons away.

Don’t feel sorry for him. He must have seen the situation over the past ten years and is paid handsomely for the job.
