McT probably gets regular game time through the influence of Fletcher and SAF. I can’t think of any other reason why a player would continuously get picked by several different managers despite being painfully average majority of the games.

I very much doubt Fletch has any influence what so ever. Ralf ignored him and it appears that ETH is as well.

I haven't been on there to check but apparently the Juventus message boards are in absolute stitches that we are about to take him off them.

I think that says everything you need to know.

I been on the Juve subreddit and its mixed feelings

Mainly he's in the last year of his contract and high wages so they want to sell, but plenty of comments praising his fitness, versatility and quality.

Also comments around how chit Juve are him being part of a disjointed squad

My main concern has always been the guys supposed attitude problems. He's pretty much been disliked by most PSG and Juve fans and both clubs had enough and wanted to get rid.

The club's mentality at the moment is very delicate and the last thing we need is a player who has a history of causing trouble.

I'm sure some would point to Cantona but he was at least always a hugely talented player who was a bit misunderstood.

Also another issue is that knowing us we will offer him a big wage on a long contract meaning he will be hard to shift.

There are a couple of Juve fans on that Reddit link I posted saying that he was a model pro… so fingers crossed that the attitude stuff is overplayed

The vast majority I've read have said the opposite though and most are happy to see him leave. They could be the RDD of Juve fans?

Mex said on Twitter he'd be a decent signing if he wasn't the only MF signing.

Let's see. What I'm reading now is that he's been considered for a while so perhaps he has been on yhr radar? He's tall too so that may actually be a consideration!
