The ruling was correct because it SHOULD be left to the states to decide, then again I am already a believer that states should have the right to make laws for their people and the only time the federal government steps in is if there’s a conflict between two states.
Here’s the thing. Abortion activists will say that a fetus is just a clump of cells and will argue against it being life because it’s not outside the womb. It’s kind of ironic though because the same people who say that a fetus isn’t life are the same ones who would consider an amoeba found on another planet as life, but not something in the womb.
My take is that life happens when there’s a heartbeat. But the problem is that my country generally didn’t have a problem with abortion until activists wanted late term abortions up to the date of delivery. That’s murder. And to prove this, there is already case law where if a pregnant woman is killed, the killer gets charged twice.
But to answer your question again: right decision. Should be left to the states.
