They can register him I believe if the wage cap is adhered to. Then, if he did leave and that leaves a bit of wage cap room further registrations can occur.

Re. the salary cap, he’s already registered.
Selling him (before or) after 13 Aug would allow them to remove his salary from the register, freeing up headroom to register any players they weren’t able to previously.

There was a video on Twitter showing Barca fans bad mouthing him on his way to training, yesterday. Apparently the Barca press have been putting out a smear campaign.
Hard to know what is true or not, but it's a strange situation for the player, for sure.

To be fair to FDJ I think he's behaved really well during all of this. No snippets to the media except for 'I want to stay at Barca' which is fair enough IMO.

I do wonder how he's been thinking privately though. Can't be a very nice situation to see the club who are skint spending 150-200m on new players when they have fairly large debts to their existing squad.

I'd be really cheesed off to be honest. I wonder if he's separated the board from the club though in terms of wanting to stay. However, hearing some fans turn on him yesterday may make him think twice.
I know United are in a bit of a mess at the moment but he could be thinking to himself "I could be a here there". If he came in and helped us get back up there he'd be adored.
