I really don't know where this Martinez in midfield thing comes from. He's hardly played there in his career plus he isn't good enough to do it.

Happens to us all.

United are a Frankenstein’s monster of a team… Lots of players from lots of different regimes all thrown together

Ivan Toney would be a great signing… Expect him to score tomorrow and Brentford to win

Don’t think it matters who you pick or in what formation you play. It’s a poorly constructed squad, lacking in confidence with not much of a clue what they are doing

It’ll be tough as it’s their first home game of the season and the fans will be key. I remember their first game of last season and they battered Arsenal. An early goal by us would be a huge boost and I get the feeling Ronaldo will be fired up.

I don’t think we will see McFred.

I would be surprised if Eriksen didn't play as the deepest midfielder after how disastrous the midfield looked prior to him moving there

We looked mildly better once Eriksen went deep against Brighton last week. Might be worth trying again.

Do United fans really want Bruno and Eriksen in the same team ? They are so similar and play their best in the same areas. It’s a tricky one especially with McFred so poor and Sancho and Rashford so ineffective

for some reason that i still haven't quite figured out, people have utterly convinced themselves that eriksen will be perfect in a midfield two, and will spray the ball around like prime scholes.

this despite the fact that, last season, eriksen had a lower pass completion rate than fernandes, about 10pp worse than united's midfielders last season (ie he gave the ball away c. 60% more)

Based on what ? Can you honestly say before the season started you fancied an away day at Brentford over home to Brighton (who had just lost their 2 best players) to get your first win ? I doubt it

Just read on the Sky app if we lose tmrw it will be seven away games on the bounce, the worst run since 1936.

We love setting records these days so I can only think it will happen in our nice green shirts.

Pressure on United will be huge with Liverpool to come the following week

Get rid of Shaw for the new LB

Eriksen HAS to start as one of the pivot roles. So much better when he was there in the second half. I'd got Ekisen Fred.
