80% of the mess United are in currently are in is not really to do with owners.

You'd want owners that stay out of the running of the club day to day and support the management and team on the pitch with whatever is needed(mostly money)

To the above the Glazers have done that fantastically they've not pumped their own money in but they've allowed for more money to be spent than any other club in the PL from memory?

Where they have failed is allowing incompetency to become acceptable at the club from top to bottom.

As a business and a team I would expect them to want every employee be it a player on the pitch or a dinner lady in the canteen to want to be the very best in the world at what they do and strive towards that every single day in every single thing they do.

I worked for in F1 for a long time and this ethos was instilled in every single person every day from the people doing the cleaning of the office to the admin workers to the pit crew to the drivers. To be the best on the track we had to be the best off the track in every single thing we did.

Something tells me failure at the moment is totally acceptable at United behind the scenes and half arsing your way to pay day is fine. There needs to be a culture change top to bottom (open heart surgery anyone?!) and those who don't buy into that way of working need to either leave or be moved on and replaced ASAP.

The above isn't the responsibility for the most part of the owners but it is of the higher levels of management they've hired and if they aren't of that mindset then they need to be replaced.

a culture of mediocrity was started by the owners who did not appoint the best in class to manage the football affairs of the club

before pep joined city, there was so much support put in place to make sure he hit the ground running

when abromovich took over chelsea, they poached some of the best in class people in football including peter kenyon

i could go on

the glazers had no clue and as soon as saf+gill left their incompetence have been there to see

Would you rather have Kroenke?

He at least has some vision in place after years of decline.

Have any money laundering allegations stuck to football owners in the last couple of decades?

All stick a quid in each, £1bn purchase from the Glazers, get Culer as chairman, Hafi as goal keeping coach and Cleversom as the clubs official ugly fat belllend. First job for someone on Monday morning is to put all the bog rolls, stationary and chocolate muffins under lock and key so that Bobby Charlatan can’t get his grasping hands on them - 3 months of those kind of savings and you’ll have enough to pay FDJ’s deferred wages.

I asked this question the other day.

Who is going to buy the club for £4bn and not want some kind of return?

The mistake a lot of people on here make, is expecting an American family, who make their money from shopping malls, to know better than life long supporters when it comes to who should be appointed to manage the club.

Yes, but you didn't ask as well as this.

but the biggest mistake some people on here make is thinking that as life long supporters (and I use that term loosely) know better than successful sports franchise owners, who may or may not happen live in the UK, which is doubtful regarding the UKs tax laws, as to who they should appoint to manage their own business operations.

It's an incredibly low bar of owners when you consider they saddled the club in a huge amount of debt upon purchase.

Just because something is legal, particularly in the world of corporate finances does not make remotely right.

What sort of owners do United fans want? I guess ones that don't saddle the club in a huge debt for a start... It's not even a big ask.

And Donald trump that would be a disaster, probably entertaining at times before the train wreck.
