Because of covid restrictions, it's the first time in two years that the event will go ahead.

No eating out in the town tonight as the roads are gridlocked with cars full of people from every town around who come to see the display.

We will have a BBQ at home and then the firework display starts at midnight. We have a perfect view from the villa over the bay of Altea, so thankfully, we will miss all the chaos. The fireworks are set off from eight large pontoons that are anchored in the sea along the bay. I'm reliably informed that It's one of the best displays that you will see in the whole of Spain.

I hope we win and for those of you who will be watching the game, I hope that it's highly entertaining and that we score a panful of goals.
