What do we take from that?

We were absolutely awful but got a point against a top 4 rival, a lot to improve but happy we got a point

Desperately need a creative midfielder and a quality centre back.
Performance for 60 mins was lethargic, lacklustre, pathetic really. Second to every challenge and couldn’t complete many passes.

If we draw every game away against our top four rivals then we wouid take that. Performance wise we were lucky, but I thought Richie changed the game. Great signing.

It shows our squad has improved if nothing else.
That is a very big positive.

It wasn't pretty was it 😂

Perisic should be starting, if only for corners and free kicks, but not sure Conte agrees, find a way to incorporate Bissouma into midfield

Classic derby game, yeah it wasn't pretty but the point was all that matters. We kept going and roll over.

For me there's not much point overreacting as if this is what's going to happen the rest of the season. That will be one of our toughest tests. And we passed. Just about

We learnt that Cucurella should get his ridiculous hair cut.

Emerson is bad, we need another RWB in my opinion, Doherty not good enough either
Would prefer Bissouma ahead of PEH

Nobody lived with the press today, kane got tackled 99% of the time he touched the ball. Really disappointing performance. Everyone blaming the usual suspects such as Royal despite a decentish performance

Erm Djed Spence? Granted he's not ready on paper at least he'd be great in a game like today.

You have to give Chelsea some credit tbf. Yeah we weren't great but as you said, they didn't let us play.

Fair point but Royal and Dier stick out to me as having given the ball away more than anyone, and Romero looks so panicked every time he receives possession

The front 3 were poor with keeping the ball and passing. Plus Son was definitely at fault for second goal by wandering inside and ball watching.

The sky buffoons were wrapping up the game with 5 mins to go, with MOTM ceremonies and summaries "same old Spurs can't beat Chelsea"....

Then BOOOOM BOOOM BOOM

Spurs back level

Sky camera pans on to Tuchel looking glum

Tyler " He looks frustrated, why shouldn't he be? That was a foul on Chelsea player"

Could not make it up... Unbiased commentary?

Never mind. Mr Hitler Sauerkraut, your team ain't all that letting us steal your win

Man, this league has too many suerkrauts -- wiffy old cabbages who moan a lot

OP

It was a shocking performance. But a late equalizer at that dump is always something to celebrate.

Beat Wolves next week, and that would already make Spurs seven points better off than last season, where they lost to Southampton, Wolves and Chelsea. So will take that.

Defence though still needs some serious surgery. That Davies and Dier are now considered undroppable starters is cause for concern.

posted on 14/8/22

What I take from that is that we now have a mentality that shows we will compete until the end.

I don't think Davies is undroppable with Lenglet around and Dier didn't do much wrong today.. though he could definitely be upgraded

Agree. I think Dier and Davies are bog standard average. And Romero vastly overrated. Defence is a mess at times.

Been saying for neigh on 2 years. Dier is not a natural CB and Davies is one dimensional poney!

Would have preferred Lenglet there today.

People love DIer because once in blue moon scores a goal and also shouts the loudest on the pitch.

Not one of our players looked comfortable today. They all stank
